Two Persons Arrested For Break and Enter City police responded to a break and enter in progress to a residence in the 200 block of Pim Street yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:45 pm.

City police responded to a break and enter in progress to a residence in the 200 block of Pim Street yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:45 pm. The homeowner returned home around this time to find the two suspects just leaving the rear area of the residence. Information was provided to police that the two persons, one male and one female, had just left the area pulling a wagon. Officers immediately attended and located the two suspects in the area of Summit Avenue. At the time they were located they were found in possession of some clothing and tools that had been stolen from the homeowner’s garage.
As a result, 19 year-old Michel Ferriera of 1052 Wellington Street East has been charged with one count of break, enter and commit, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of breach of probation.
A 16 year-old female youth was charged with one count of break, enter and commit and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.


Two Persons Arrested in Possession of Stolen Vehicle and Licence Plate

An off duty OPP officer notified city police yesterday afternoon around 1:18 pm after observing a suspicious vehicle with two persons inside in the parking lot of a local business on Great Northern Road. When officers attended and ran a check on the plate they discovered that the licence plate had been reported stolen from a vehicle in the Barrie, Ontario area on the 8th of August. Officers also observed that there was damage to the steering column and ignition area and after running a check on the vehicle, they discovered it was stolen from Etobicoke, Ontario on the 4th of August.

As a result, 39 year-old John Bajwa and 34 year-old Susan Hendry of no fixed addresses were both arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of theft under $5,000.00.
They are both to appear in bail court this morning.


Property Crimes

• Two bicycles, a red East Coast Chopper and a 10 speed black and red mountain bike, were reported stolen from Highcrest Street area last evening from 7 – 7:45 pm.

• A vehicle on Goulais Avenue was entered sometime overnight on the 12th-13th of August. An iPod, some cash and a bank card were stolen.

• Three vehicles were spray painted in the parking lot of the Huron Central in the area of Bruce and Lansdowne.
