Criminal Harassment

A 25 year old male will appear in bail court this morning charged with criminal harassment and 2 count of assault. It is alleged by the ex-girlfriend of the accused that he had assaulted her on numerous occasions and after they had parted ways continued to call and harass the victim. The complaint was laid on the 25 March 2009 and warrants issued.

Domestic Dispute

On the 09 April 2009 at approx. 02:45 am while making a traffic stop, patrol officers found themselves in the middle of a domestic dispute. In an effort to calm the situation the officers attempted to separate the parties. The male was directed to have a seat in the patrol car but refused and attempted to carry on with the disagreement and was then arrested for breach of the peace. As the officers were putting the accused in the cruiser the accused snapped off the radio antennae and was further charged with mischief to property. He will appear in court on the 13 May 2009.

Breach

A 17 year old male will appear in court on the 12th of May 2009 charged with two counts of breaching his recognizance of bail. It is alleged that the accused attended at a residence that he was supposed to stay away from and that he was to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. It is alleged the accused attended at the residence on the 08 April 2009 and when spoken to by police on the 09 April 2009 shortly after midnight the accused was found to be intoxicated by alcohol.

Consume Over the Legal Limit

35 year old Colin Wayne Wilkins of 301 Eastern Ave. was arrested early this morning and charged with, consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle that was entering Canada and was stopped at the border where a customs officer noted the accused had been drinking. The accused was tested on a road side screening device and failed the test. Patrol officers attended and the accused was brought to the station for an intoxilyzer test. The accused will appear in court on the 11 May 2009.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Police attended at a motor vehicle collision yesterday at approx. 2:24 pm at the intersection of Spring and Bay St. The collision occurred between an east bound on Bay 2004 Pontiac and a south bound on Spring 2003 Chevrolet. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. A passenger in the Pontiac was taken to Sault Area Hospital by ambulance for treatment of is described as minor injuries. As a result of the investigation the driver of the Pontiac 83 year old Laurier Duclos of 700 Bay St. was charged with disobey Red Light.

Break and Enters

Police were called to a home in the 300 block of Douglas St. yesterday in regards to a break in to a residence. It is reported that some jewelry was taken.

Police attended at a residence in the 400 block of Wellington St. east where an apartment was entered and a computer, some tools and a small amount of money was taken.
