Theft suspect found with weapon during arrest, police say

He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant

On April 25, 2019 officers with the Break and Enter unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29-year-old Jordan Porter of Albert Street West for theft.

It’s alleged on April 7, 2019 the accused attended a business in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard selected approximately $290 worth of items from the shelves and left without attempting to pay. 

On April 25, 2019 police observed the accused on Queen Street East, and it was known he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody and police found him in possession of a weapon. 

He is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, and four counts of breach of probation. He was held for bail court.
