Suspect with bolt cutters, hammer arrested at break and enter scene

One person was arrested after police responded to a break-in in progress at a McNabb Street business early Saturday morning.

The accused, 54-year-old Charles Shaw, was located and arrested by responding officers, says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. A search found him to be in possession of bolt cutters and a hammer.

As a result, Shaw is scheduled to appear in court on Jun. 8 and stands charged with:
    •    Break and enter – intent to commit indictable offence
    •    Possession of break-in instruments
