Evening Report: Residential fire in the 90 block of Churchill Blvd... Fire Marshall has been called in to determine the cause. This investigation is ongoing. * * * Break and Enter: A local business in the 500 block of Second Line East.

Residential fire in the 90 block of Churchill Blvd...  Fire Marshall has been called in to determine the cause. This investigation is ongoing.

Break and Enter: A local business in the 500 block of Second Line East.  The front window smashed out – cash box taken.

Break and Enter: A local business in the 500 block of Great Northern Road was entered and currency taken.  The culprit used a rock to smash the window.

Break and Enter:  A residential break in was reported in the area of McQueen Road. Entry gained through the back door.  Electronics, kitchen appliances, furniture and food was taken.

At approximately 11:20 pm, a disturbance was reported at a residence in the 300 block of Sussex Road.  Three persons unknown to the homeowners came onto the property and started a verbal confrontation that rapidly escalated.  As a result Shawn Wilson, age 27, of 97 Crawford Street was charged with one count of assault and 36 year old James Meilleur of 40 Hynes Street was charged with two counts of assault and two counts of mischief regarding a broken window in the house and a broken windshield of a truck belonging to the homeowner.  Both males will be appearing in WASH  (Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court) this morning.  No criminal charges were laid against the third individual.

A 51 year old male was arrested as a result of a domestic violence incident.  He has been charged with one count of assault and one count of threatening and will be appearing in WASH court this morning.  It is alleged the male pushed the victim into a fireplace and threatened to harm her if she called police.

On Sept 22nd at approximately 9:20 pm, police received several alarm calls in a short period of time in the 500 - 600 block of Great Northern Road.  One of the businesses was found to have a rock thrown through the front window and a cash drawer stolen containing an undisclosed amount of cash.  Police arrived on scene within three minutes of receiving the alarm however no suspects located in the area.

A landlord was checking his rental property in the 100 block of Upton Road and discovered that it had been broken into.  The perpetrator was scared off by the landlord’s attendance and was seen running towards the area of Bishops Court however the landlord was unable to provide a description.  Nothing was stolen from the home.
