Additional occurrence from overnight: At approximately midnight last night a female victim in her 50’s was walking from the main entry doors exiting the Ste. Marie Casino on Bay St. She was walking on the walkway portion and while crossing the bridge portion of the walkway an unknown male on a bicycle wearing a gray colored hoodie approached from the rear on the south side. The cyclist pulled the purse from the victim and carried on northbound on John St. He was observed turning westbound onto Albert St. No further description available.

The stolen grey Hyundai Sonata licence BKHD268 has been recovered. It was found abandoned in the city’s west end.

On the 6Oct12 at approximately 0750 hours police responded to a report that two males had driven a stolen vehicle into the west canal at the Sault Locks. Two males were identified in the area and further investigation has led to the arrest of both suspects.  19 year old Tyler WYNNE of no fixed address was located and arrested by Thessalon OPP.  WYNNE is the second accused arrested and charged with being in possession of the stolen Pontiac Grand Am recovered in the canal.  In addition he is also bound by a valid probation order with the enforceable condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. He will appear in bail court tomorrow.

Bail Court Appearance Arrests/Charged Persons with Court Appearance Dates:

A 20 year old female will appear in domestic violence court in November charged with assault after being charged with assault. It is alleged that on the 13 Oct 12 the victim and his girlfriend, the accused, arrived home after a night of drinking when the accused lost her temper and began following the victim from room to room while yelling at him. The accused bit the victim on his shoulder and began hitting him with her fist numerous times.

Officers attended six noise complaints overnight for loud parties and disturbances.
