City police had an interesting night last night. CITIZEN FOLLOWS SUSPICIOUS CAR Two males, Shane Young, age 24 of Searchmont and Lorne Beaird, age 21 of 765 Cooper Street have been charged with assaulting another male last evening.

CITIZEN FOLLOWS SUSPICIOUS CAR
Two males, Shane Young, age 24 of Searchmont and Lorne Beaird, age 21 of 765 Cooper Street have been charged with assaulting another male last evening.

The victim noticed two males and a female getting into a car. Although the exact details are not yet known, the victim thought something was suspicious and followed the vehicle to Peoples Road where it stopped.

The victim then tried to check on the female in the vehicle and he was allegedly assaulted by Young and Beaird. Police arrived and charged Beaird and Young with level one assault. They will appear in court on January 5.


COUPLE ASSAULT 3 FEMALES
Early this morning police responded to a call about a fight outside the Eastgate Hotel. The female, 35-year-old Lisa Nichols allegedly punched and pushed each of the three female victims. It is also alleged that Nichols then smashed a car window of one of the victims.

According to Staff Sgt. Steve Train, Police arrived and charged Nichols and her companion, Walter Miller, age 29 of 329 Alexander Street with three counts of assault each.

Miller was also charged with three counts of breach of recognizance and Nichols was charged with one count of mischief for the broken glass.
