Break and Enters: Police were called to the 300 block of Sixth Avenue in response to a break and enter to a residence. Entry was gained through the side door. Food and alcohol was taken.

A 20 year old male will appear in bail court Monday charged with several domestic related offences including sexual assaults.  It is alleged that the male who was charged with domestic assault and breach of a recognizance and subsequently released on bail in July, violated several conditions of his bail again and is also accused of sexually assaulting his victim on several occasions.

In addition it is alleged he breached five of his bail conditions during the most recent sexual assault by:

1)      Communicating or associating with the victim

2)      Molested, harassed and physically interfered with the victim

3)      Went to the residence of the victim

4)      Went within 100m of the victim

5)      Had access to his child when access was to be through a mutually agreed third party, as the child was present during the sexual assault.

Police were called to a residence in the city’s north end on two occasions this evening for a family dispute involving an intoxicated father becoming aggressive with his family.  Officers returned on a second occasion and arrested him for breach of the peace and received subsequent disclosure of a long history of domestic violence within the family.  A 54 year old male has been arrested and held for WASH court charged with 4 counts of assault on his spouse.

Officers were out this evening on the RIDE Program.  A total of 357 cars were checked, three separate 3-day driver’s licence suspensions were issued and 2 traffic offences were also issued.

39 year old Adrien Dupuis of no fixed address is in custody and will be attending WASH (Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court) in the morning charged with mischief, threatening and breach of probation.  Police were called to a downtown hotel for an intoxicated male in the lobby who was causing a disturbance, breaking things and smashing their computer.  He threatened the staff that he was going to kill them and burn the hotel down and was subsequently arrested.  He is also bound by a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

At 10:16 p.m. on 17 November 2012 an armed robbery was reported at Mrs. B’s Pizza at 97 Great Northern Road. A lone male, disguised with a brown fabric hood with eye holes cut out, held a 6”to 8” double-bladed knife to the throat of a female employee after entering a rear door.  He took cash from the register and fled on foot out the front.  The Caucasian male suspect was wearing a brown bomber style winter jacket, black hoodie under the jacket, green pants and blue BMX style gloves.  He is described as 5’8” tall with muscular build and blue eyes. Officers attended within one minute of receiving the call and contained the area for a ground search by OPP canine Unit.  Investigation is continuing.

At 03:21 hours officers responded to male kicking in the door at Sport Centre Bar on Wellington St. West.  Officers located 23 year old Adam Bertolo of 26 Princess Cresent who was arrested and charged with mischief and intoxicated in a public place.

Two break and enters were reported this afternoon at neighbouring residences in the 4500 block of Second Line West.  In the first break and enter entry was gained was via a smashed basement window at the rear of the house, the second house was entered through an open rear window.  OPP canine unit was called out to assist in a track but was unsuccessful in locating the suspect(s).  Taken was cash, jewelry and electronics. Forensic examination indicates that the suspect wore gloves.

A break and enter was reported on Clergue Street. Owners returned home at approximately 2:00 a.m. to find their back door pried open.  It is does not appear at this time that entry was gained to the residence.

A break and enter was reported on Balfour St.  An alarm was triggered however the suspect managed to get in through the rear patio doors and make off with 2 Dell laptops.
