Arrests/Charged Persons: On March 3, 2013 the accused Theresa Palmer age 46 of 188 Dennis Street, was checked on a routine traffic stop. A check of the accused revealed an outstanding warrant for breach of probation X 2.

Arrests/Charged Persons: 

On March 3, 2013 the accused Theresa Palmer age 46 of 188 Dennis Street, was checked on a routine traffic stop. A check of the accused revealed an outstanding warrant for breach of probation X 2. The accused was arrested and will appear in court on April 8, 2013 at 9:00am.

On March 3, 2013 at approximately 10:13 am Sault Ste. Marie Police attended at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Center and met with the accused Matthew Fournier.  On March 2 the accused failed to attend for his intermittent sentence. The accused was to be at the Treatment Center every Saturday at 9:00am and be incarcerated until Sunday at 5:00pm. The accused failed to report at the set time on March 2, 2013. The accused is also bound by a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  Matthew Fournier, age 31 of 201 Westhill Road, Elliot Lake stands charged with unlawfully at large and breach of probation.  The accused will appear in bail court on March 4, 2013 at 10:00am.

On March 3, 2013 police received a complaint of stolen currency. On attending it was found that the complainant was on a recognizance with a condition to notify police of a change of address.  The accused did not comply with the condition and was arrested. The accused Michael John Butt age 51 was arrested for breach of recognizance and will appear in bail court on March 3, 2013 at 10:00am.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:  (Thefts, Mischief Reports, etc.):

Between March 2 at approximately 12 p.m. and March 3 at 9:45 a.m. a residence in the 700 block of Wellington Street East was entered. Jewelry and a 51 inch television were taken.

A 17 year old youth was arrested by City Police officers on March the 2nd for breaching a condition of his undertaking. One of the youth’s conditions was that he abide by a curfew to be in his place of residence between the hours of 11 pm and 7 am.  It was alleged that he was not in his residence overnight on the 1st of March. The youth will be appearing in Court on April 9th 2013.

City Police officers responded to a domestic incident call early in the evening on March 2nd in the 800 block of Peoples Road.  Their investigation revealed that a 27 year old female was arguing with her common law partner escalating  to her punching him in the mouth. As a result she was arrested for assault and will be appearing in Court on April 10th 2013.
