58 year old Melvin Wemigwans of 25 Hamilton Street in Spanish failed to report the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center as required to serve time on the weekend.
He was charged with breach of probation and unlawfully at large and will appear in court on July 30th.

A residence was broken into in the 100 block of Wellington Street West.
It is unknown at this time what might have been taken.

Police responded to a call of a moose damaging property on Maki Rd. It was learned that the moose had broken a fence in several places and when the homeowners attempted to chase the moose off it charged at them.
In addition the moose charged towards a moving vehicle.
Despite numerous attempts to chase the moose away it would not leave the area and had to be dispatched to protect the residents and property in the area.
