Evening news On January 13, 2013 at approximately 9:12 am officers attended in the area on Queen and Brock Street. Officers observed a lone male walking. The officer’s had dealt with this individual in the past.

On January 13, 2013 at approximately 9:12 am officers attended in the area on Queen and Brock Street.  Officers observed a lone male walking.  The officer’s had dealt with this individual in the past. A check of the male, revealed outstanding warrants for failing to attend court X 2 and unlawfully in a dwelling house. The accused Craig Charles Herriman age 59 of 222 Albert Street East will appear in bail court on Monday January 14, 2013 at 10:00am.

On January 13, 2013 at approximately 9:15 am officers attended at a residence on Charles Street and arrested a male age 26 on an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on December 31, 2012 the accused failed to comply with a court order with one of the conditions being a curfew from 11pm to 7am.  The accused will appear in bail court on January 14, 2013 at 10:00am.

On January 10, 2013 it is alleged that the accused was at school and during recess produced a knife from his pocket and threatened to kill the victim. The accused was also on probation and breached 2 of the conditions of that order.  The accused young person will attend court on February 12, 2013 at 09:30 to answer to the charges.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:  (Thefts, Mischief Reports, etc.):

Break and enter to a garage in the 200 block of Pittsburgh Avenue – tools were taken.

Arrests

The RIDE program was out last evening and officers stopped a vehicle on Allard Street.  Officers noted that the driver showed signs of impairment.  As a result 47 year old Theodore Higo of 203 Pentagon was arrested and charged with one count of over 80 mg. He will appear in court on the 11th of February 2013.  

40 year old Patrick John Wayne Martin of 5-690 Pine Street was arrested at 1:30 am this morning and charged with one count of mischief-interfere with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.  In the last 12 hours City Police responded to 4 noise complaints regarding Mr. Martin .  In addition to being warned about the noise Mr. Martin was also charged under the noise bylaw.  When he continued to be loud and make excessive noise, he was charged criminally.  He will appear in court on February 11th, 2013.

Last evening the RIDE program was out.  282 vehicles were checked.  4 tickets were issued for various Highway Traffic Act Offences.  One driver was charged with consume over the legal limit.

There were no break and enters reported in the last 12 hour period.
