The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is now able to contact community members who have Rogers wireless service.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A phone issue is making things difficult for Sault Police to contact Rogers wireless customers.

"Bell’s connection to the Rogers network is experiencing challenges," says a Thursday morning release from police. "Bell is aware and working to correct the problem."

Police are still able to receive 911 calls from Rogers mobility customers, though they're unable to return calls to Rogers mobility customers.

The issue may result in a delay in Sault Police members contacting community members on their personal cell phones.

Sault Police will provide an update when it is available.
