SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Nov. 17, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old male as a result of a domestic violence investigation.
It is alleged that the accused engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated and the accused broke some property belonging to the victim. The accused then assaulted the victim by slapping her, spitting on her and stomping on her.
Officers arrived a short time later and the accused was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of mischief, one count of assault, and four counts of breach of recognizance.
He was held for bail court.
