Sault man arrested for break and enter

Police say the 38-year-old broke into a West Street business where he was found and arrested

On May 21, police officers arrived to a business area in the 100 block of West Street, responding to a break and enter in progress.

They found and arrested the accused, a 38-year-old man, who was hiding in the area. He was subsequently charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000.

On May 21, 2022, officers with patrol services charged 38-year-old Shane Williams with break and enter.

Around 5 a.m., officers responded to a break and enter in progress at a secure compound of a business in the 100 block of West Street. Upon arrival, officers located the accused hiding inside the secured area. He was arrested.

He is charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Failing to appear or comply with the summons

He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on May 30, 2022.
