On the 31 Aug 12 at approximately 1500 hours City Police received a report of two 13-year-olds missing from the beach area of Hiawatha Park.
They had been missing for about two hours when police received the report.
Police protocol demands significant resources be devoted to lost persons under these circumstances.
OPP and APS were contacted by Police and the OPP helicopter and APS officers were deployed to assist in the search which was concentrated to an area east of Hiawatha.
The young persons were located in the general area of Jardun Mine Road in good health at approximately 1900 hours.
