City police had a busy night with seven arrests for various liquor charges other than impaired driving. There were also a couple of arrests for minor assault violations.
City police had a busy night with seven arrests for various liquor charges other than impaired driving. There were also a couple of arrests for minor assault violations. There were, however, no accidents and no injuries during the past twenty-four hours.

SUSPICIOUS MALE APPROACHES YOUNG GIRLS
The Sault Police Service has received reports of two incidents in the west end of the city where a suspicious male has approached young females. On Wednesday afternoon, two girls, ages 11 and 12, were walking home in the Doncaster Road area after school when a male driving a full-size white car, possibly a Ford Crown Victoria, approached them. The two girls left the area and ran home. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

An 8-year-old girl was returning to her school around 1pm Thursday when she was approached by a male in a vehicle who offered her candy if she would get in. She ran to a relative's residence that was nearby. The vehicle was a black car. The male was wearing dark clothing and had a go
