ROBBERY AT MERRETT’S PHARMACY On the 30th of May 2009 at approximately 11:45 am a lone male robbed the IDA Merrett’s Pharmacy on Wellington Street West.

On the 30th of May 2009 at approximately 11:45 am a lone male robbed the IDA Merrett’s Pharmacy on Wellington Street West.

The suspect entered the store, approached the pharmacist and indicated he had a handgun and demanded prescription medications.

The pharmacist complied with the demand and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of medications. No one was harmed in the incident.

The male suspect is described as being between 20-35 years of age, approximately 5’8” tall with a stocky build and a small amount of facial hair on his chin. At the time of the incident the male was wearing a dark grey/ brown fishing style hat, dark pants and a blue North Carolina hooded sweatshirt.

Officers from Patrol Services and the Canine Unit attended immediately in the area. Officers from Investigation Services are continuing to work on the robbery.
