Attempt Murder / Shooting On March 20, 2009 at approximately 10:30 pm four males entered into a residence on Vera Street and confronted a male and female occupant.

On March 20, 2009 at approximately 10:30 pm four males entered into a residence on Vera Street and confronted a male and female occupant. A struggle ensued between the male occupant and one of the suspects, resulting in the male occupant receiving several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Sault Area Hospital and then transferred to Toronto for further medical treatment. Members of Patrol, Canine and Emergency Services conducted searches for the four suspects with negative results. Detectives from the Investigation Services Section are continuing the investigation and have identified Curtis Matthew DAYNARD (DOB 23 Aug 1983) as one of the male suspects. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.
