Stabbing - 4 injured On the 17June 2011 at 11:18 p.m. the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a call regarding a fight that had taken place on St. Mary’s Island near the Soo Locks. There were four people who had received stab wounds.

On the 17June 2011 at 11:18 p.m. the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a call regarding a fight that had taken place on St. Mary’s Island near the Soo Locks. There were four people who had received stab wounds.

The four females were transported to the Sault Area Hospital and treated for their injuries. Two of the victims have been released and all of the victims range in age from 15-18 years.

The accused and victims in this incident are all know to each other.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service was assisted in the investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.

The island has been secured and the investigation is ongoing and police remain on scene for forensic examination.
