DANGEROUS FUGITIVE ARRESTED Yesterday at 9:17 p.m., Robert George Poole, age 47, was arrested without incident by members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. He was arrested at 130 Albert Street West where it is believed he had been staying.
DANGEROUS FUGITIVE ARRESTED
Yesterday at 9:17 p.m., Robert George Poole, age 47, was arrested without incident by members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. He was arrested at 130 Albert Street West where it is believed he had been staying.

Poole is being held in custody on a Canada-wide warrant from the Edmonton Police Service for aggravated assault, forcible confinement, sexual assault with a weapon and using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence.

Edmonton police will travel to the Sault to pick him up and return him to Alberta. (See SooToday news story for photos)


MAN ASSAULTS WOMAN
City police had a busy twenty-four hour period. They were called to a Grace Street address for a domestic violence situation. A male had punched a female several times in the face and body.

He was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm, two counts of assault and breach of probation. He cannot be identified to protect the identity of the victim. She was treated at hospital and released. He will appear in bail court on Monday.


SEXUAL ASSAULT
Two male young offenders were arrested at 9:30 p.m. in the city's west end for sexual assault. There are no further details available at this time.


CHARGED WITH POSSESSION STOLEN GOODS
Police were called to the Duty Free Store regarding a shoplifting complaint. They arrested Tammy Lynn Moore, age 35 of 212 Albert Street West and charged her with possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
