At approximately 5:30am officers were dispatched to the area of London Street and Tancred Street. On attending found the accused walking on Tancred Street with bolt cutters and a bag of copper wire.

At approximately 5:30am officers were dispatched to the area of London Street and Tancred Street. On attending found the accused walking on Tancred Street with bolt cutters and a bag of copper wire. The accused had been observed cutting copper wire off of power poles in the area. The accused Curtis Pheasant, age 30 of 28B Wellington Street East was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime, theft under $5000 and mischief under $5000. The accused appeared in wash court (weekend and statutory holiday court), and was remanded to bail court on Monday 16th, 2012 at 10:00am.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes

Break and enter to the Manzo Pool – damage done to windows and doors.

Break and enter to a residence in the area of Churchill. Entry was gained between the hours of 2:30am and 7:30am.

Computer and other electronic goods went missing.

Bear sighting in the 900 block of Third Line West

Arrests/Charged Persons:

A 17 year old youth was arrested by members of the Street Team on the 13th of July and charged with Drive while disqualified and 2 Breach of Probation offences. He will appear before a Weekend And Statutory Holiday (WASH) Court Justice this morning.

40 year old Michael Yaroshuk of 622 Albert St. W. was arrested at the Sault Area Hospital on the 13th of July for Breach of the Peace. It is alleged he became unruly while in the emergency department. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Yaroshuk was on a Conditional Sentence Order with one of his conditions being to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He will appear before a WASH Court Justice as well.
