On Saturday, January 5,2012 Andre Joseph Cormier 23 years old of 317 North Street was arrested by Sault Ste. Marie Police officers when it was discovered there was a warrant for his arrest by another police service.Upon searching Cormier, officers found a flip knife in his possession and he was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon.

On January 4th 2013 in the late afternoon hours a residence in the 300 block of Douglas St. was broken into. Entry was gained by prying open the main door to the residence. Stolen was a large amount of European jewelry.

On the 4Jan13 Sault Ste Marie Police attended the Shady Rest Motel at 1587 Trunk Road, Sault Ste Marie, to remove an unwanted person - Peter Armstrong age 20 years. Mr. Armstrong was located in the parking lot area where he was arrested for 2 warrants failing to appear for fingerprints relating to outstanding charges. He will also appear in WASH court.

On the 4Jan13 at 8:25 PM, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team observed two persons who had been released 30 minutes earlier on an officer-in-charge undertaking relating to drug charges that contained conditions that the two were not to associate with each other. The two were observed exiting a vehicle on Wellington Street West. As a result, officers arrested Dana Walde age 41 of 630 Wellington St West for breach of her undertaking by associating with Roland Eder.
Roland Eder was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of his undertaking by associating with Dana Walde and by attending at 630 Wellington Street, Sault Ste Marie. This time both will appear in WASH (Weekend and statutory Holiday) court in the morning.

On the 4th of January, 2013, the accused 29 year old Adrian Smith of 222 Albert St. East was arrested at 11:06 hours for 7 counts of mischief to 7 tires on 7 separate vehicles. As well, he was charged with 5 counts of trespass at night. A witness on Wellington Street East in the 400-block observed the accused between the vehicles on March Street. They watched the accused walk west on Wellington Street, and was observed bending over and puncturing the tire of a 2005 Toyota CTR. The accused continued to walk west on Wellington Street and entered another yard and stuck an object into the tire of a 2003 Hyundai. The accused continued to walk west on Wellington Street and entered another yard and stuck the object (believed to be a knife) into 2 separate vehicle tires, a Chev BL2, and a 2006 Volkswagen L52. The accused continued to walk west on Wellington and entered another and punctured a tire on a Volvo V7A. He was apprehended and will appear in WASH (Weekend and statutory Holiday) court in the morning.
