The City Police provide an excellent information service for the press from Monday to Friday but do not have information officers on duty on the weekends and do not issue press releases.
If something major is happening, however, such as closed highways, a large fire, missing person, something dangerous to the public, etc., etc., then that information is supplied and posted on this site immediately along with updates as the events unfold.
SooToday checks with the City Police Service first thing Saturday and Sunday mornings. Routine weekend occurrences are included in Monday's briefing.
