The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to advise the public of the following road closures that will take place on Saturday Nov. 17, 2018 in order to facilitate the annual Rotary Santa Claus Parade.
Starting at 4:30 p.m., Queen Street East will be closed from Elizabeth Street to Church Street.
This area will be used as a staging area for the Parade. Lower Church Street will also be closed from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
In addition the parade route, Queen Street East, will be closed between Church Street and Gore Street starting at 5:30 p.m. That street will re-open at the completion of the parade at approximately 8 p.m.
In order to keep the parade route free from obstructions, there will be no parking on Queen Street East from Church Street to Andrew Street starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 17. At the completion of the parade this temporary parking restriction will end and vehicles will be allowed to lawfully park in the area.
Any vehicle found on the parade route after 5 p.m. will be towed from the area. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and wish all a happy and safe weekend.
