Police seek witnesses to Saturday collision that injured pedestrian

Woman was struck on Queen Street East and Churchill Boulevard at about 4 p.m. Saturday

Sault Police is seeking witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian that occurred Saturday afternoon on Queen Street East at Churchill Boulevard.

In an email sent Monday, police spokesperson Lincoln Louttit confirmed a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and taken to hospital on Saturday at about 4 p.m.

"We do ask anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision, or who has dash cam or video surveillance of the area, to please contact us by calling 705-949-6300 to speak with Traffic Services," said Louttit in the email.

Louttit said the incident is still under investigation and as of now no charges have been laid.
