SAULT STE MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Jan. 9, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old male for domestic violence related offences.
It is alleged that just after 6 p.m. on Jan. 9 the accused engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The accused then pushed the victim to the floor, grabbed her by the hair and struck her face off of the floor.
As the argument continued, the accused is alleged to have grabbed the victim by the hair a second time and again threw her to the ground.
The accused was arrested by police and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in bail court today.
