Police find long guns, ammo and stolen property in storage unit

Sault man faces charges of possession of stolen property, illegal possession of firearms and improper storage of firearms.

On Sept. 9, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 52-year-old Barrie Premo of Queen Street East for possession of stolen property. 

On Aug. 2, 2019 police were informed a Honda dirt bike was stolen. As a result of an investigation police were able to locate the stolen dirt bike in a storage unit registered to the accused.

While conducting the search of the storage unit officers located an electric scooter reported stolen on Aug. 21, 2019, two long guns and ammunition. 

The accused was taken into custody on Sept. 9, 2019. He is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and three counts of careless storage. He was held for bail court.
