A portion of the intersection of Lake Street and Trunk Road was closed early Friday in response to a two-vehicle collision.
The Jeep and Dodge Ram pickup truck both sustained serious front-end damage and airbags were deployed on both vehicles. The front passenger-side tire on the Ram was severed from the vehicle as a result of the impact.
Sault Police blocked off the downhill southbound lane of Lake Street that approaches the intersection.
The intersection was reopened fully by 7:15 a.m.
