Youth Arrested for Assault and Mischief
On the 26th of September at 2:30 am officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16 year-old male youth at his residence and charged him with one count of mischief and one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that around 2:16 am on the 26th of September, while at the residence, the accused punched several holes in some of the walls and smashed two large windows. The accused male was also arrested on an outstanding warrant two days prior at the city police station and charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief in relation to the same residence and assaulting his guardian. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Males Arrested on Domestic Related Warrants
On the 26th of September, officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18 year-old male in Sudbury, Ontario on an outstanding domestic related warrant. He was charged with three counts of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of criminal harassment.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service located and arrested a 37 year-old male wanted on an outstanding domestic related warrant on the 26th of September while he was walking on Queen Street. He has been charged with one count of assault and one count of fail to appear court.

Shoplifting Arrests
36 year-old Heather Rivers of #301-536A Goulais Avenue was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on the 25th of September at 5:14 pm at the Metro Store on Churchill Boulevard. It is alleged that the accused attended at the store and stole a number of items. She was apprehended by a loss prevention officer and held for police. She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on the 1st of November.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested two individuals on the 24th of September just after 12 pm at Zellers on Bay Street after they allegedly attended at the store and stole some items. One of the accused, a male youth, was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation and is to attend in court on the 26th of October. The second was a female, 19 year-old Marissa Racicot of #2-266 John Street, charged with one count of assault and she is to appear in court on the 25th of October.

Robbery Investigation
On the 24th of September at 6:49 pm the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a robbery complaint from the Payless Shoe Store on Great Northern Road. It is alleged that a lone female entered the store around 6:45 pm on the 24th of September and demanded the clerk to open the till. The suspect was holding her hands in her pocket when demanding the cash. She left with an undisclosed amount of money, fleeing in a red Dodge mini-van. No weapon was observed and there were no injuries. The female suspect was descried as being in her 40’s, approximately 5’4”, thin build, short brown hair, wearing a pink hoodie and blue pants. Officers searched the area with negative results. The investigation is ongoing

Break and Enter Reports
• A residence in the 500 Maki Road was entered on the 26th of September. A 40 inch flat screen television and a Nintendo Wii were reported stolen.
• Two attempt break and enters were reported to homes on Alexandra Street and one in the 600 block of Second Line West.

Theft Reports
• A dump hoist cylinder assembly was reported stolen from a business on Industrial Court on the 25th of September.
• Licence plates were stolen off vehicles on Sunnyside Beach Road and Albert Street East.
• A BMX bike was stolen from Panoramic Drive.
• A vehicle was entered in the 200 block of Shannon Road and one on Ashgrove Avenue. Wallets were reported stolen.

Mischief Reports
• A vehicle in the 300 block of Korah Road had a back window spraypainted and four tires slashed.
• A vehicle on Bruce Street was vandalized.
