The following three persons are to appear in bail court this morning: 1) 25 year-old Wayne Briscoe of #2-506 Sherbourne Street was arrested on the 21st of September at 9:15 pm while in custody at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged one
The following three persons are to appear in bail court this morning:

1) 25 year-old Wayne Briscoe of #2-506 Sherbourne Street was arrested on the 21st of September at 9:15 pm while in custody at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of break, enter and commit. It is alleged that on the 13th of September at 1:15 pm the accused pawned a stolen Panasonic DVD player at a local Pawn Shop. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. Investigation revealed that the DVD player was stolen by the accused when he broke into a basement apartment of a residence on Laura Street on the 12th of September.

2) A 38 year-old male was arrested on the 20th of September at 11:30 pm at his residence as a result of a domestic related incident and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 20th of September around 10:50 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with his common law spouse at their residence and assaulted her by head butting her in the face area, punching her in the head and pushing her into a couch. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

3) A 31 year-old female was arrested on the 21st of September at 10:10 pm at her residence and charged with one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on the 21st of September the accused got into a verbal argument with her ex-boyfriend at her residence and slashed him in the arm with a knife. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

Male Charged with Assault:

44 year-old James Laplante of #5-304 Wellington Street West was charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused and a male known to him were drinking together at a friend’s residence when they got into an argument. The accused is alleged to have punched the other male in the face and head several times. The victim received non-life threatening injuries. The accused is to appear in court on the 20th of October.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant:

26 year-old Christian Boissoneau of no fixed address was arrested on Queen Street East on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of robbery. He is to appear in court on the 20th of October.

Male Shoplifter Arrested:

45 year-old Augustino Greco of (downstairs) 566 Albert Street West was arrested on the 20th of September at 5:30 pm at Wal-Mart on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 20th of September at 5:12 pm the accused attended at Wal-Mart and stole several items valued at $250.00. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 20th of October.

Property crimes:

Break and enters: City police were called to investigate nine break and enters over the weekend.

Entries were reported to the following addresses:
1. The 500 block of Shannon Rd. - two televisions and other electronic items were stolen.
2. The 100 block of Albert St. W. - cash, identification and a government cheque were taken.
3. The 100 block of Wellington St.E. - a shed entered -tools taken.
4. The 1200 block of Queen St. E. - a garage was entered and a LCD television was stolen.
5. The 100 block of Goulais Ave- unknown at this time what was taken.
6. The 100 block of King St. - a purse and cash were stolen.
7. The 100 block of West St. - medications were taken.
8. An attempted break in was reported to a residence in the 700 block of Queen St. E.
9. An attempted break in was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Albert St. W.

Mischief: Six vehicles were reported damaged over the weekend.

Two vehicles parked on The Maitland Ford lot at 1124 Great Northern Rd. were damaged.
A vehicle parked in the 900 block of Wellington St.E. had a window damaged.
A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Turner Ave was spray painted orange.
A vehicle parked at the Days Inn at 320 Bay St. had a windshield damaged.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Market St. was egged.
A house in the 100 block of Clearview Ave had a window smashed.
A shop in the 100 block of Blake St. had damaged done to a door.
A window was broken at a residence in the 100 block of Maple St.
A bus shelter was damaged in the area of 819 Trunk Rd.
A residence in the 200 block of Glasgow Ave was damaged.

Thefts:

Bicycles were stolen from Anna McCrea School - 250 Mark St. And from a residence in the 100 block of Chartwell Dr.
Gardening equipment was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Fields Sq.
The Donut Stop, 658 Second Line W. reports a theft of cash.
Eight vehicles were entered:
Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Hargreaves Ave
Keys and a cell phone were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Hardwood Ave.
An I-Pod was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Glenholme Dr.
Tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Country Club Pl.
Two Tim’s Horton’s Cards were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Wellington St. E.
Unknown items were stolen from vehicles in the 100 block of Thorneloe Cr. and the 100 block of
Pentagon Blvd.
