Three Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance This Morning
1) Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38 year-old male last evening at a downtown residence and charged with one count of resist peace officer, two counts of assault peace officer and five counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that last evening the accused attended at the residence of his ex-girlfriend and at the time he was on probation conditions not to attend at her place of residence, not to communicate with her, not to harass, molest or physically interfere with her and to keep the peace and be good. When officers were arresting the accused, he continuously resisted, punched and kicked the officers.

2) A 21 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of September in Milton, Ontario by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on an outstanding domestic related warrant. The male was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of breach of probation and one count of breach of a release document. Officers escorted him back to Sault Ste. Marie Police Service to attend in bail court this morning.

3) Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33 year-old male on the 17th of September at 2:25 pm at a centrally located residence and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 17th of September at 2 pm the accused attended at his estranged wife’s residence, got into a verbal argument with her and assaulted her.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 46 year-old Michael Harris of #302-615 Albert Street West on the 18th of September at 9:49 am on outstanding warrant. He was charged with one count of fail to appear for prints. He is to attend in court on the 18th of October.

Female Arrested for Criminal Harassment
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 65 year-old Helena Paciepnik of #2-18 Herrick Street at her residence and charged her with one count of breach of a release document and one count of criminal harassment. It is alleged that between the 30th of March and the 8th of September, the accused criminally harassed two persons known to her by continuously driving by and watching their residence, attending on their property while being on a peace bond with several conditions not to attend at their place, not to harass, molest or annoy them. She is to attend in court on the 18th of October.

Male Involved in Single Motor Vehicle Collision Arrested with Consuming over the Legal Limit
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 38 year-old James O’Leary of 545 Black Road on the 19th of September at 4:55 am on Second Line East and charged him with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 19th of September at 4:47 am officers received a call regarding a possible impaired driver that had struck a pole on the ramp meridian at Second Line East and Black Road. When officers arrived they found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and his Dodge Pickup heavily damaged with the air bag deployed. The hydro pole was also heavily damaged. When the accused was given the roadside breathalyzer, he failed and he was subsequently arrested. He is to attend in court on the 18th of October.

Male Youth Arrested for Causing Damage at Local Youth Home
A 16 year-old male was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on the 18th of September and charged with one count of mischief and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was acting disorderly at a local youth home and smashed a telephone. At the time of the incident thee accused was on conditions to keep the peace and be good.

Requesting Public’s Assistance with Assault Investigation
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigating an assault complaint are requesting the public’s assistance: On the 18th of September, officers were called by the victim reporting that the previous evening around 4 pm she was walking on the sidewalk on Bruce Street, close to the Station Mall area, when she was pushed from behind, by one or two persons, landed on the ground and then was kicked and punched. The victim did not see the person or persons responsible. The victim attended at the hospital to be examined. Officers are asking the public for assistance with this investigation - if anyone knows anything about this assault or may have witnessed the incident, please contact the Sault Ste. Break and Enter Reports
• A residence in the 400 block of Parliament Street was entered on the evening of the 18th of September. A 22 inch RCA television and several public library DVD movies were reported stolen.
• A residence on Crystal Place was entered last week. A Playstation 3 was reported stolen.

Theft Reports
• Two Snowmachines and trailers were reported stolen from a business compound property in the e 1200 block of Great Northern Road – a 1995 Yamaha VMax 4 Blue and White and a Ski Doo Tundra. The trailers - 1st –single axle green 4x6 utility trailer – green single axel, 2nd – galvanized double wide trailer.
• An attempt theft of a vehicle in the 200 block of Church Street was reported on Friday night.
• A licence plate was stolen off a vehicle on Grandview Avenue.
• Vehicles were broken into on Airport Road, Peoples Road, Chippewa Street Avon Avenue, Northern Avenue, and Bainbridge Street. Items reported stolen included: purses, cash, pack sack with gym clothes, iPods, a digital recorder, an IBM laptop, vehicle papers, jewellery and a wallet.
• Bikes were reported stolen on Queen Street East – a green Men’s Raleigh Mountain Bike and Sendero Supercycle 6 speed on White Oak Drive and a blue and white supercycle on Northern Avenue.
• A school bus on Walter Street was entered and damaged. A weedwacker and lawn ornaments were stolen.

Mischief Reports
• A door window was smashed at Eastview School around 4:45 pm on Saturday. Four youths approximately 12-14 years old were seen fleeing the area. One female had long dark hair with a pony tail and was wearing a red hoodie. One male was wearing a green shirt and a ball cap. Another male was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, jeans and had blonde hair.
• A bus shelter on McNabb Street was damaged.
• Vehicles were vandalized on Queen Street East, Taskar Drive, Broadview Drive, Andrew Street, and Lake Street.
