Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested four persons with domestic related charges on the 18th of September:

1) A 36 year-old female was arrested at 12:45 am and charged with one count of assault and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 17th of September the accused assaulted her ex-girlfriend at a local residence. At the time the accused was on probation not to communicate, harass, molest or annoy the victim, and was also to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

2) A 22 year-old male was arrested at 3:46 pm and charged with four counts of assault, one count of sexual assault and one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 18th of September around 3:04 pm officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a local residence and when they arrived they learned that the female victim had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend while he was at her residence.

Officers investigating the incident also learned that the accused on two resent occasions assaulted and sexually assaulted the same victim and also ripped and cut up some of her garments. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assaults.

3) A 47 year-old female was arrested at 11:25 am and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 18th of September the accused got into a verbal dispute with her common law husband and threw a frying pan at him. No injuries were reported. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions that she not harass, molest or physically interfere with the victim.

4) A 43 year-old male was arrested at 4:55 pm and charged with one count of threaten death. It is alleged that on the 18th of September at 11:38 am the accused threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend while speaking to her on the phone.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant for Assault with a Weapon

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 45 year-old William Kingston of 55 Edison Avenue on the 18th of September at his residence and charged him with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for an incident that took place on the 9th of September that occurred just outside of the accused male’s residence during a dispute with a male known to him.

The accused allegedly struck the victim with a 4x4 block of wood causing non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention. The accused is to appear in court on the 24th of October.

Female Arrested for Break and Enter and Assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 21 year-old Candace Mearow of 2643 Mission Road and charged her with one count of break and enter and one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 16th of September the accused kicked in and forced her way into a residence of a female known to her and assaulted her once inside. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 24th of October.

Male Arrested for Three Shoplifting Incidents from the LCBO Store

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 40 year-old Clinton Perrault of #20-864 Queen Street East on the 16th of September at 11:15 am and charged him with three counts of theft under $5,000 and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on two separate occasions on the 15th of September and on the 9th of September the accused attended at the LCBO in the Station Mall and stole liquor. At the time of the incidents the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused is to appear in court on the 17th of October.

Female Arrested for Theft of Credit Card and Fraud

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year-old Misty Fleming of 40 Hynes Street on the 16th of September at 11:50 am and charged her with one count of fraud and one count of theft of a credit card. It is alleged that between the 5th to the 10th of July the accused made a number of fraudulent purchases at various local stores using a stolen credit card. The accused is to appear in court on the 17th of October.

Male Arrested for Mischief

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37 year-old Jeremy Saccary of #5-125 Gore Street on the 6th of September at 3:40 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 16th of September the accused attended at the residence of a person known to him and damaged the patio furniture in his yard. The accused is to appear in court on 17th of October.

Female Youth Arrested for Threatening Death

A 17 year-old female youth was arrested on the 18th of September at 4:58 pm and charged with one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 5th of September the accused threatened to stab her father known during a verbal argument at their residence. The victim is to appear in court on the 25th of October.

Three Impaired Driving Related Arrests

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18 year-old Christopher Simpson-Johnston of 13 Broadview Drive on the 17th of September at 2:31 am on Wallace Terrace and charged him with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on 17th of September at 2:27 am officers observed the accused stopped at a red light at Goulais Avenue and Wallace Terrace in a Dodge Stratus. Police dealt with accused earlier in the evening and knew he had been drinking. The vehicle was stopped at Wallace Terrace and Letcher and officers found him to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused failed the roadside screening device test and was subsequently arrested. He is to appear in court on the 24th of October.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Daniel Parker of 14 Wildwood Drive Heyden, Ontario on the 17th of September at 2:52 am on Great Northern Road and charged him with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 17th of September at approximately 2:45 am officers attended on Great Northern Road just north of Fifth Line in regards to a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, police located the accused, asleep behind the wheel of a 1991 Mazda with the keys in the ignition and the engine running. Upon wakening him, officers found him to be under the influence of alcohol and he was subsequently charged. He is to appear in court on the 24th of October.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 39 year-old Jonathan Gassi of #1-167 Pim Street on the 18th of September at 12:43 am on Lyons and charged him with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 18th of September at approximately 12:30 am police were operating a RIDE check on Lyon's Avenue when they stopped and checked the accused. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time and was given the roadside screening device test. The accused failed the test and was subsequently arrested. He is to appear in court on the 24th of October.
