City Police have attended to 42 calls for service since 5 am this morning
Attempted abductions
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating two incidents of a male attempting to lure young women into the suspect’s vehicle. During the first incident which occurred on September 13th tin the vicinity of McNabb and Placid describes the male to be in his early 20’s, slim face, bald and driving a white 4 door smaller SUV.
The second incident occurred today in the vicinity of Second Line and Goulais Ave. The male in this incident is described to be in his early 20’s, short black hair, thin chin strap beard and a black hat He attempted to lure the teenage female into his black vehicle. These incidents occurred less than a week apart and it is unknown at this time if they are connected.

Break Ins
A garage was entered sometime overnight in the west end of the city. A boat and trolling motor as well as a power auger were among the items stolen.

A residence in the west end was entered sometime over the weekend and alcohol and a computer were stolen in that B&E.

A 40 year old male turned himself into City Police on this date regarding domestic related charges which he was wanted for on a warrant. He was subsequently sent to bail court.
Assault
On September 16, 2012 police responded to a call for service to 142 Albert St. where an individual was severely hurt in an assault. The victim was transported to hospital, treated and released. The investigation is continuing.
