Domestic Related Arrest Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 46 year-old male on the 11th of September at 7:10 pm and charged him with one count of assault.
Domestic Related Arrest

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 46 year-old male on the 11th of September at 7:10 pm and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 11th of September around 6:31 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend and assaulted her. The incident took place at her apartment.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26 year-old Trevor Seaton on an outstanding warrant on the 9th of September at 2:19 pm at the police station and charged him with one count of fail to appear for prints. It is alleged that he failed to attend at the station fro prints on the 29th of August. He is to appear in court on the 17th of October.

Male Arrested for Theft and Possession of Stolen Property

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 39 year-old Scott Erdman of #4-262 Wellington Street West on the 11th of September at Value Village on Northern Avenue and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the accused attended at Value Village and stole a number of clothing items. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. At the time of his arrest, the accused was found in possession of tools that were stolen from Soo Mill just prior to the shoplifting incident.

Youth Arrested for Robbery and Theft

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16 year-old male on the 10th of September at 11:07 pm and charged him with one count of robbery and one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 9th September at approximately 10:30 pm the accused and a second youth were in the area of Terry Fox Place when they approached another male youth walking in the area, assaulted him and stole his necklace. Another youth walking with the victim had his hat stolen by the males. Officers know the identity of the second male youth involved in this incident and are attempting to locate him. The victim received non-life threatening injures during the incident. The accused is to appear in court on the 18th of October.

Female Arrested for Theft from Vehicle

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 40 year-old Kimberly White of #102-277 Northern Avenue and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 10th of September at approximately 10 pm the accused stole some tools from a truck that was parked in a lot on Dennis Street. She is to appear in court on the 17th of October.

Robbery Incident

A male reported being robbed on the 10th of September at approximately 12:40 am while walking in the area of Dennis Street. The victim reported that the male suspect assaulted him, threatened to stab and shoot him. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s back pack, went through it, and stole a bus pass and the victim’s Koodo Blackberry Curve. The suspect was described as Anishinabek, approximately 5’10 with long hair.

Break and Enter Reports

• A residence on Panoramic Drive was entered and a Mac Book Pro was reported stolen.
• A business on White Oak Drive was entered and two youths were observed attempting to steal a mini dirt bike. The two males fled from the area empty handed. One youth was described as being approximately 5’7 wearing a light hoody, the second male was shorter, approximately 5’5 and riding a bike.
• A shed on Bonney Street was broken into on Friday evening. A welder, a pocket bike and a boat motor were reported stolen.
• A residence on Cambridge Place was entered on the 10th of September. A cat was reported missing.

Mischief Reports

• Three vehicles were reported keyed in the west end.
• A mail box was damaged on Goulais Avenue.
• A front window of a residence on Arizona Avenue was smashed.
• A vehicle on Moody Street was vandalized.

Theft Reports

• A bike was stolen from a local high school on Friday.
• A bike was reported stolen from Sault Area Hospital.
• A bike was reported stolen from Amber Street.
• A bike was stolen from Breton Road.
• A vehicle on Robin Street was broken into. A cell phone left inside as reported stolen.
• Landscape equipment was reported stolen from Elgin Street.
