The Following People are to Appear in Bail Court This Morning: 1) Two males were arrested on the 23rd of October at 4 pm in a laneway off Abbott Street after they allegedly broke into a residence on Abbott Street and stole two air compressors.

1) Two males were arrested on the 23rd of October at 4 pm in a laneway off Abbott Street after they allegedly broke into a residence on Abbott Street and stole two air compressors. City Police received a call around 3:52 pm on the 23rd of October of a break and enter in progress to the residence. Officers attended and quickly located the two suspects that had just fled from the residence. At the time of their arrest, they were found in possession of house breaking tools and the two air compressors that they had stolen from the residence. As a result, 43 year-old Dwayne Guy of 9 St. Marys Avenue was charged with one count of break, enter and commit, one count of possession of stolen property and 48 year-old Gordon Petts of 186 Tancred Street (Main) was charged with one count of break, enter and commit, one count of possession of house breaking tools, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation.

2) 20 year-old Cameron McDonald of #3-109 Carufel Avenue was arrested on the 23rd of October at 9:25 am at his residence on several outstanding warrants. He has been charged with three counts of fail to appear court.

Two Domestic Related Arrests:

1) An 18 year-old male was arrested on the 25th of October at 4:05 pm at an east end residence and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 25th of October at 3:45 pm the accused assaulted his girlfriend at an east end residence. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as result.

2) A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 23rd of October at 9:50 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault, two counts of threaten death or bodily harm and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 23rd of October around 9:38 pm the accused assaulted his common law partner at their causing non-life threatening injuries. The accused also threaten to kill her and their children. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not molest harass or physically interfere with the victim and not to be at her residence when he has been consuming any alcohol.

Break and Enter Arrests:

1) 46 year-old Wayne Devon of 46 Superior Drive was arrested last evening just after 10 pm on Second Line West and charged with one count of break, enter and commit after he allegedly broke into the Canadian Tire Gas Bar at 752 Wellington Street West. City Police received a call regarding a break and enter in progress to the Gas Bar around 9:52 pm on the 25th of October. Officers arrived and located the suspect attempting to flee the area. He is to appear in court on the 30th of November.

2) Two male youths, aged 13 and 16 years, were arrested on the 26th of October at 12:02 am on Wilson Street and charged with one count of break, enter ands commit and one count of possession of house breaking tools. It is alleged that on the 25th of October at approximately 11:55 pm the two accused youths broke into the Erb Transport Inc. building on Wilson Street and caused damage to various locked cabinets, a locker and a freezer. Officers received a call regarding a break and enter in progress to the building around midnight and when they arrived they located the youths still inside. The youths are to appear in court on the 1st of December.

Weekend Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• A garage in the 600 block of Frontenac Street was entered sometime overnight on the 25th of October. Two dirt bikes – a 1996 Honda CR125 and a 2007 Honda CRF-450X were reported stolen.
• Jimmy Joes on Great Northern Avenue was entered sometime between 2:30 am and 9 am on the 25th of October. Some liquor and cash was reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

• A male youth attempted to steal packages of cigarettes at the Young’s Coin Wash & Confectionary on Northern Avenue on the 25th of October at 6:27 pm. The clerk attempted to apprehend him and he dropped some of the cigarettes and fled before police arrival.
• Vehicles on Bay Street, Field Square, Forest Avenue, Northern Avenue and Fort Creek Drive were entered. An iPod, sunglasses and cash were items reported stolen. Some of the vehicles had windows smashed out to gain entry.
• A cash box was reported damaged and one that contained cash was stolen from the Mocking Bird Farm on Landslide Road.
• A bike was reported stolen from Northern Avenue and a child’s scooter on Palace Drive.

Mischief Reports:

• Sugar was put into a gas tank of a vehicle in the 400 block of Queen West.
• A glass door in the 100 block of Parkland Crescent was reported spray painted.
• A window at the West Side Café was smashed.
• Vehicles were reported damaged in the 1000 block of Lake Street and on Placid Avenue and the 600 block of Queen Street East windows were reported smashed out.
• A shed in the area of Pawating Place on Lake Street had a lock damaged during an attempt break and enter.
