Female Charged with Assault:


28 year-old Laura Waboose of #2-319 Albert Street East arrested on the 17th of October at 8:46 pm at her residence charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 17th of October at 8:15 pm she was at the residence of a person known to her and assaulted the person after getting into a verbal dispute.

Family Dispute results in Arrest:

An 18 year-old male was arrested on the 17th of October at 2:35 am at a west end residence and charged with two counts of assault, one count of drinking under age, one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of mischief under $5,000.00. It is allege that around 2:17 am on the 17th of October, a parent of the accused called police to their home for assistance with their son who was intoxicated and out of control. Officers attended and discovered that the accused damaged a door in the home and assaulted two family members. Officers furthering the investigation also learned that the accused had stolen some jewellery and a SIM telephone card from one of the family members.

Two Arrested for Skimming Device Related Offences:

Two persons were arrested on the 18th of October at 12:23 pm on Trunk Road and both charged with one count of possess credit card data and one count of possession of an instrument for use in forging credit cards. It is alleged that on the 18th of October just before noon, city police received information that a skimming device was found on the TD ATM on Capp Avenue. Officers investigating the incident located the skimming device on the ATM and shortly afterwards checked a vehicle in the area with the two accused persons inside. Police located devices used in the forging and falsifying of credit cards and also data skimmed by these devices inside their vehicle. Charged are 40 year-old Jivco Licov (m) of 6347 Armstrong Drive in Niagara Falls, Ontario and 29 year-old Diana Ivanova of 61 Guildcrest Drive in Scarborough Ontario.

Shoplifting Arrests:

1) 37 year-old James Syrette of 44 Nebenaigoching Street in Rankin Reserve was arrested on the 17th of October at 2:35 pm at the A&P store on Second Line West and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 17th of October at 2 pm the accused attended at the store and stole some groceries.

2) 19 year-old Kristiani Mattila (m) of Apt. A-180 Glasgow Avenue, and two males, aged 13 and 14 years, were arrested on the 18th of October at 4:15 pm at Joe’s No Frills on Korah Road and charged with theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that the three attended at the store just before 3 pm on this date and stole some items. The accused persons were apprehended by store security and held for police. Officers discovered that the accused Mattila was wanted on outstanding warrants as well. He was further charged with one count of breach of probation and one count of fail to appear for court. The 13 year-old was further charged with two counts of breach of release orders for breaching curfew hours and failing to keep the peace and failing to be good. They are to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest:

A 28 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of October at 12:45 am on Trunk Road and charged with one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 18th of October the accused attended at his ex-girlfriend’s residence and damaged her vehicle.

Male Arrested with Possession of Stolen Property:

35 year-old Dale Boyer of 566 Albert Street West (basement) was arrested on the 17th of October at 4:49 pm on Albert Street East and charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession of a stolen credit card and one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 17th of October at approximately 5:08 pm the accused was checked on Albert Street East by City Police. At the time, the accused was found in possession of several documents and items that were in the name of other persons, including a cheque that had been stolen from a wallet at the court house on the 13th of October, identification stolen from a vehicle on the 17th of October and a credit card taken in a break and enter from a residence on Beverley Street on the 1st of October. The accused is to appear in court on the 23rd of November.

Weekend Property Crimes:

Break and Enter:


A residence on Spadina Avenue was entered on the 18th of October and a purse was reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

• Vehicles were entered on Poplar Avenue, Sutton Place, Curran Drive, Lasalle Court, Borron Avenue, Plaintree Drive, Promenade Drive, West Street and the Cambrian Mall parking lot. Numerous items were reported stolen, including wallets, identification, a GPS and change.
• A bike was reported stolen from Borron Avenue.

Mischief Reports:

• Inflatable Halloween decorations were slashed on Cooper Street.
• Five vehicles had windows smashed out by rocks in the areas of Spruce Street, Poplar Avenue, Brock Street, Bellevue Avenue and Macdonald Avenue.
