Two persons to appear in bail court On Sunday November 7th at 6:10 pm members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested a 17-year-old female on several warrants. It is alleged that on August 7th the accused assaulted two police officers.

On Sunday November 7th at 6:10 pm members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested a 17-year-old female on several warrants. It is alleged that on August 7th the accused assaulted two police officers. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on probation. She is charged with one count of breach of probation and two counts of assault police.

On Friday November 5th at 5:35 pm members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old male on warrants for robbery and resist arrest. It is alleged that on October 21st 2010 the accused entered the Zellers Store, in the Station Mall and stole an item valued at $ 399.99. The accused was stopped by store security at which time it is alleged that he assaulted the security officer. It is further alleged that the accused later resisted arrest. Charged with one count of robbery and one count of resist arrest is James Bolan, age 21, of no fixed address.

Break and enter
Just after midnight today members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested a 31-year-old male for break and enter. It is alleged that on November 5th 2010, the accused broke into a residence in the 100 block of Second Line W. and while inside caused mischief to the residence. Aaron Wilson, age 31 of 315 John St. Apt # 1 is charged with one count of break and enter and one count of mischief. He is to appear in court on Dec 13th at 9:00 am.

Impaired driving
On Saturday November 6th at 1:00 am members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested a 30-year-old male for impaired driving and drive over 80mgs. It is alleged that the accused was operating his vehicle on Dacey Rd. William Collins, age 30, of 226 Hurley St, Echo Bay is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80 mgs. He will be appearing in court on December 6th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for assault
On Friday November 5th members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old female for assault. It is alleged that on Thursday November 4th the accused assaulted an orderly at the Sault Area Hospital by biting the victim on the arm. Angel Crawford, age 18, of 129 Farquhar St. is charged with on count of assault. She will be appearing in court on December 13th at 9:00 am.

Two persons charged with theft under $ 5,000
On Friday November 5th at approximately 4:10 pm members of the Sault ste Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old female and a 26-year-old male for theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the two accused persons entered the Food Basics Store on Trunk Rd. and stole groceries valued at $ 28.00 and $ 25.88 respectively. The accused were arrested by store security and turned over to police. Jacquelynn Paquette, age 21, of 125 Cambridge Pl Apt #304 and Devon Frech, age 26, of 125 Cambridge Pl Apt #304 are both charged with one count of theft under $5,000. They are to appear in court on December 13th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated three reported break and enters over the weekend. An apartment in the 100 block of Second Line W. was entered -it is unknown what was taken.

Tools were stolen from a garage in the 100 block of Goetz St.

An attempted break and enter occurred at the Hart Store in Market Mall, on Saturday Nov 6th at approximately 11:00 pm. It is believed that the alarm frightened the suspects off.

Mischief
Vehicles were damaged in the following locations:
The 100 block of Bristol Pl.

The 100 block of Bay St.

The 200 block of Goulais Ave.

A taxi cab was damaged on Saturday November 6th at 1:30 am on Princeton Dr. after dropping off a fare. The suspect threw a rock at the front windshield causing it to break.
The suspect is described as: Female, Anishinabek, 5’4” tall and wearing a white jacket.

Theft
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service reports numerous vehicles entered over the weekend. Purses and wallets were the main target of the thieves.

Vehicles were entered in the following locations:
The 200 block of Northern Ave- four vehicles were entered – a digital camera, purses and wallets were taken.

The 100 and 200 blocks of great Northern Rd. – two purses were taken.

The Station Mall parking area – purse taken.

A shopping cart at a grocery store on Trunk Rd.

A vehicle parked in the100 block of Alworth St.

A vehicle parked on Bruce St.

Fire
On Saturday November 6th at 3:00 am the Sault Ste Marie Fire Department attended at a residence in the 200 block of James St. regarding a shed fire. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service was later called to attend and investigate as the cause of the fire is suspicious in nature.
