FATAL ACCIDENT - NAME RELEASED
A vehicle-pedestrian accident Friday evening about 10:30 on Second Line took the life of an 11-year old boy, Mitchell Wasyliniuk of 996 Second Line West. He was walking along Second Line West in the area of civic number 972 when he was struck by a jeep operated by 19-year old Andrew Lucier of Ingersol, Ontario. Mitchell was taken to hospital where he passed away as a result of his injuries. No charges have been laid

HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT
An 18-year old male, Christopher Lucas of 243 Pim Street, has been charged with impaired driving and failure to remain at the scene of an accident following a crash Sunday morning at 1:40 on Trelawne Avenue.

It is alleged the accused was traveling westbound on Trelawne in a 1999 Hyundai when he struck the curb, a parked car, a second parked car, and then continued on the sidewalk hitting a fire hydrant. Following the last impact, the car flipped onto its side.

Lucas then fled the scene but was apprehended a few minutes later.
