Two Arrested after Police Called to Break and Enter in Progress to Home on Albert Street East: 18 year-old Colin Wallace 454 Parliament Street and a 15 year-old male were arrested on the 23rd of November at 4 am on Bay Street and charged with attempt
Two Arrested after Police Called to Break and Enter in Progress to Home on Albert Street East:

18 year-old Colin Wallace 454 Parliament Street and a 15 year-old male were arrested on the 23rd of November at 4 am on Bay Street and charged with attempt break and enter, one count of trespassing at night, one count of possession of housebreaking tools and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that around 3:55 am this morning the two attempted to break into a residence on Albert Street East. The homeowner, inside at the time, called police and the two fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, officers quickly apprehended the two on Bay Street. At the time of their arrest, the males were found in possession of housebreaking tools. Wallace is to appear in court on the 11th of January 2010 and the youth on the 29th of December.

Male Youth Arrested after Being Found in Possession of Marijuana:

A 17 year-old male was arrested on the 21st of November at 12:15 am on Trunk Road and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 21st of November at approximately 12:15 am city police received a call regarding the youth causing a disturbance on Trunk Road. Officers located the accused and at the time he was found in possession of approximately 3 grams of marijuana. The accused was on probation at the time with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Three Impaired Driving Arrests:

1) Randy Parr, 44, of 208 Turner Ave., was arrested on the 20th of November at 10:45 am on Goulais Avenue and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on this date around 10:30 am the accused was operating his 2000 Chev Impala southbound on Goulais Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, went off the roadway and struck a tree. The accused received minor injuries as result and was treated at hospital. The vehicle was demolished. He is to appear in court on the 21st of December.

2) Sean Burns, 39 years, was arrested on the 20th of November at 10:10 pm am on North Street and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on this date around 9:58 pm city police received a call regarding an impaired driver in the area of Cedar Street and Wilson Street and located the vehicle pulling into a driveway on North Street. Police discovered theta it was the driver’s residence and at the time he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 21st of December.

3) Tyler Pelletier, 18, of 13-157 Willow Ave., was arrested on the 21st of November at 2:30 am on Kingsford Road and charged with one count of consume over legal limit and one count of possession of a controlled drug substance. Police were called to Kingsford Road regarding a loud muffler and when they checked the vehicle they discovered that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. When given a roadside screening device breathalyzer test, he registered a fail. He was also found in possession of a small amount of cannabis resin. He is to appear in court on the 21st of December.

Robbery at Mac’s Convenience Store under Investigation:

On the 21st of November at 1:28 am a male attended at the Mac’s Convenience Store on McNabb Street with a broken beer bottle in hand and demanded cash. The suspect grabbed some cash from the till and fled, possibly in a red coloured vehicle. Officers attended and searched the area with negative results. The clerk was not physically injured. The male suspect was described as white, in his mid 20’s or 30’s, unshaven, stocky build, wearing a dark long sleeve shirt and jeans.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• There was an attempt break and enter reported to the Operri Tailoring Shop on Queen Street East.
• Twist N’ Shout Bar was entered sometime overnight on the 22nd of November. Cash was reported stolen.
• A residence in the 1200 block of Leigh’s Bay Road was entered sometime from the 19th to the 21st of November. A television and several electronic items were reported stolen.
• An attempt break and enter was reported to an apartment in the 400 block of Queen Street East.
• A residence on Tancred Street was entered on the 20th of November. Jewellery, cash and two digital cameras were reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

• Licence plates were stolen off a vehicle on Parliament Street.
• Vehicles were entered overnight on the 21st of November. A wallet and an exacto knife were reported stolen.

Mischief Reports:

• Vehicles were damaged in the areas of Pageant Drive, Nixon Road and two in parking lots at Sault College and the Water Tower Inn.
• A house in the 2000 block of Third Line West was egged.
• A front window of a residence on Arizona Avenue was damaged.
