Possession of a Controlled Substance 24-year old Gordon Bussineau of 440 Bush Street was arrested on the 19th of November and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance.
Possession of a Controlled Substance

24-year old Gordon Bussineau of 440 Bush Street was arrested on the 19th of November and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that while officers were dealing with the accused on a non-criminal related they located what appeared to be crack cocaine on the accused. The estimated value of the crack cocaine is $40. Officers also located an envelope with what appeared to be cocaine. The estimated value of the 1.2 grams of cocaine is $125. The accused will appear in court on January 8th.

Wanted for Assault

29-year old Glen Adam Gregoire of 170 Biggings Avenue will appear in court on December 18th. It is alleged that on the 30th of August the accused assaulted a male by punching the victim in the face. A warrant was issued for the accused and the accused was arrested and charged on the 18th of November with one count of assault.

City Police received a number of break and enter reports over the weekend:

1) A residence in the 600 block of Second Line West was entered between 2 am and 11 am on the 17th of November. Food and a stereo system were taken.

2) Between 8 am on the 16th of November and 2:30 pm on the 17th of November a shed and garage were entered on Third Line West. Items taken include a combination drill kit and other tools.

3) On the 18th of November between 4 pm and 9 pm the Patrick Flynns Salon on Queen Street East was entered. Nothing was taken.

4)On the 18th of November Midas Muffler and Brakes on Great Northern Road was broken into just before 11 pm but nothing was taken.

Routine Traffic Stop Results in many more Charges

Two males were taken into custody on the 18th of November following a routine traffic stop. The 22-year old driver allegedly provided a name other than his own to police. It is alleged that the 16-year old male youth in the vehicle also advised the officers that the false name was indeed the real name for the accused. Further investigation resulted in officers finding a stolen licence plate in the trunk of the vehicle as well as a small quantity of marijuana in the main body of the vehcile. Officers also located a box of ammunition in the trunk of the vehicle as well as a shotgun shell. The 22-year old male was prohibited from possessing any weapons or firearms and was also on conditions to notify a change of address which he allegedly failed to do. The adult accused was also on a court imposed curfew of 10:30 pm to 7 am and officers stopped the vehicle just before 1 am in the downtown area. The adult was also wanted on a number of outstanding warrants.

The accused are:

1) 22-year old Michael Radford of 1-104 West Street has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, four counts of breach of a release order, one count of obstruct police, one count of careless storage of ammunition, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of fail to appear in court, four counts of breach of probation and one count of break and enter with intent.

2) The 16-year old youth has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession of controlled drug or substance, one count of careless storage of ammunition and one count of obstruct police.

Five More People to Appear in Bail Court this Morning:

1) Officers from the Espanola Police Service arrested 30-year old Jason Michaud of 158 Brien Avenue on the 17th of November on an outstanding warrant from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. The warrant was for two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession of counterfeit money, one count of drive while disqualified-court order and one count of fail to attend in court. The offences area alleged the have occurred in March of this year and the fail to attend court occurred on July 10th, 2006. Officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended in Espanola and returned the accused to Sault Ste. Marie for bail court.

2) A 59-year old male was arrested on the 17th of November and charged with three counts of criminal harassment. It is alleged that between the 17th of October and the 17th of November the accused repeatedly followed his estranged common law wife, repeatedly communicated with her and also watched her residence.

3) A 16-year old male youth was arrested and charged with one count of assault on the 17th of November. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a female youth by punching her in the face and kicking her. At the time of the incident the victim did not require medical treatment for her non-life threatening injuries.

4) 35-year old Tanya Trudeau of 168 Pim Street was arrested on the 18th of November and charged with two counts of breach of release orders. Officers attended at an address in the central area of town regarding a person to be removed. While speaking to the accused a police query revealed that she was wanted on a warrant for breaching terms on a release document. Officers also noted that the accused was on another release document with conditions not to consume alcohol. It is alleged that the accused was under the influence of alcohol when speaking with the officers and she was subsequently arrested and charged with the breaches.

5) A 27-year old male was arrested on the 19th of November during a routine traffic stop. A query of the male revealed that he was wanted for one count of robbery and one count of assault. It is alleged that in August the accused stole money from his girlfriend while swinging a hammer at her. It is further alleged that the accused assault the same victim in September.
