Investigation Services Arrest Male for 2008 Alexander Henry High School Break and Enter: 19 year-old Jeremy Miller was arrested on the 30th of October at 2:10 pm at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged with one count of break and enter.
Investigation Services Arrest Male for 2008 Alexander Henry High School Break and Enter:

19 year-old Jeremy Miller was arrested on the 30th of October at 2:10 pm at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged with one count of break and enter. It is alleged that the accused broke into Alexander Henry High School back on the 5th of April 2008. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Wanted for 2008 Assault Located and Arrested:

23 year-old Darrell Morine of 181 Elgin Street (Apt. 1B) was arrested on the 2nd of November at 1:35 am on an outstanding warrant on Albert Street East and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that he assaulted a male known to him while at a gathering at a downtown residence on the 19th of November 2008. The victim received injuries that required medical attention. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant:

23 year-old Stacey Crowe of 116 Albert Street East was arrested on the 30th of October at 4:25 pm at her residence on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of break, enter and commit and one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on the 17th of October at approximately 12:05 am the accused and another unknown female attended at a residence of a female known to them with a baseball bat and bear spray. The accused struck the female in the arm area and the other female sprayed the victim with the bear spray. The two fled the apartment and the victim had to attend at the hospital for medical attention for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing and officers are attempting to identify the second female. The accused is to appear in court on the 7th of December.

Impaired Driving Arrests:

1) 28 year-old Ryan Frolich of 1413 Leighs Bay Road was arrested on the 31st of October at 2:32 am on Albert Street East and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 31st of October at approximately 2:32 am city police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Albert Street East. Officers stopped and checked the driver and at the time he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 7th of December.

2) 39 year-old Wayne Hewitt of 332 Wellington Street East was arrested on the 31st of October at 10:20 pm on Second Line West and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of fail to provide breath sample. It is alleged that around 10:16 pm city police received a call regarding a possible impaired driver operating a Chev Cavaliere erratically on Great Northern Road. Officers located the vehicle travelling west bound on Second Line West and at the time was it travelling at a high rate of speed and swerving in an out of the lanes. Officers were able to stop the vehicle near Peoples Road and at the time the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was found in possession of an open bottle of beer. He is to appear in court on the 7th of December.

Shoplifter Arrested:

46 year-old William Chevrier of 25 Pawating Place was arrested on the 30th of October at Rome’s Independent Grocers and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that around 2:42 pm he attended at the store and stole some meat products. He is to appear in court on the 23rd of November.

Male Youth Arrested after Causing Damage to City Transit Bus:

A 14 year-old male youth was arrested on the 31st of October at 2:05 pm at his residence and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 31st of October at around 1 pm the accused was riding on the bus and smashed a window when he punched it. He is to appear in court on the 1st of December.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


1) A resident in the 100 block of Pentagon called police regarding a break and enter in progress to their home around 2:53 am this morning. Two females were found inside the home and scarred off by the resident. They fled in a van with a television from the home. The investigation is continuing. They were described to be in their 30’s, Native American, one was wearing a white coat average height and medium build.

2) A resident on Cathcart Street called police regarding a break and enter in progress at approximately 12:53 am on the 1st of November after discovering a male inside the home. The male fled on foot with bags two bags of tobacco, tobacco tubes, some cash and a can of pop. Officers checked the area with negative results. The male was described as having a thin build wearing a black jacket and carrying a green bag.

3) A residence in the 100 block of Cathcart was entered on the 31st of October sometime between 2:30 pm and 8 pm. Cash and electronics were reported stolen including a play station.

Mischief Reports:

• A vehicle on Ransome Drive was damaged sometime overnight on the 30th-31st of October. The rear window was smashed and wipers were taken off.
• A home on Moluch Street was egged around 2:40 am on the 31st of October.
• Tomatoes were thrown at vehicles parked in the lot at 70 East Street around 11:25 pm on the 30th of October.
