Male Youth Arrested for Drug Trafficking
On the 6th of May members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team investigating a complaint of drug possession and trafficking, arrested a 14 year-old male youth and charged him with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance. Officers seized 42.5 grams of marihuana packaged for resale and a digital scale from the accused male’s residence. At the time of his arrest, the accused was found with three individually wrapped 1 gram bags of marihuana. The estimated street value of the drugs seized was approximately $910.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Adrianna Costello of fixed address at 6:04 am this morning at the police station on an outstanding warrant and charged her with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear court on the 28th of February with regards to a break and enter related charged.

Two Domestic Related Arrests
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 52 year-old male on the 7th of May at 4:40 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 7th of May at approximately 12:30 am the accused assaulted his girlfriend while she was at his residence. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result that required medical attention.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 26 year-old male on an outstanding warrant on the 6th of May at 3:30 pm and charge him with one count of criminal harassment. It is alleged that the accused has continuously harassed his ex-girlfriend since their 24th of April break up by continuously calling her, sending her text messages, following her and showing up at her residence.

Impaired Driver Arrested after being involved Motor Vehicle Collision
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 40 year-old Shelly Lepage of 23 Grosvenor Avenue (upstairs) on the 7th of May at 2:53 pm on Princeton Drive and charged her with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 7th of May at 2:37 pm the accused was attempting to reverse a Ford Pickup out of a shared driveway on Princeton Drive and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in the driveway. When officers attended to investigate the collision they found the driver, the accused, to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused is to attend court on the 14th of June.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26 year-old Krystal Hart of 132 Cathcart (upstairs) and charged her with one count of fail to appear for prints. It is alleged that on the 21st of April she failed to appear for prints in relation to a shoplifting related charge. She is to appear in court on the 6th of June.

Male Youth Arrested for Mischief
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year-old male youth on the 7th of May at 8 pm and charged him with one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 6th of May at approximately 11 pm, while on Placid Avenue, the accused smashed out a back window of a vehicle with a brick. He is to appear in court on the 14th of June.

Female Youth Arrested for Assault
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 13 year-old female youth on the 7th of May at 2:58 pm at the police station and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 6th of May while at a local school dance, the accused assaulted a female that was known on to her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention. The accused is to appear in court on the 7th of June.

Female Youth Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 16 year-old female youth wanted on an outstanding warrant at a downtown residence and charged her with one count of breach of probation and one count of mischief. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for an incident that occurred on the 11th of August 2010 when she was at a residence of a person known to her and when asked to leave, she threw a beer bottle at a window of the home, damaging it. She is to appear in court on the 14th of June.

Male Youth Arrested for Trespassing at Night
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16 year-old male youth on the 8th f May at 12:59 am on Kerr Drive and charged him with one count of trespassing at night. It is alleged that on the 8th of May at approximately 12:23 am officers received a call about some suspicious youths entering residence properties on Kerr Drive. When officers arrived in the area, the accused youth ran and attempted to hide under a truck in a driveway on Kerr Drive. He is to appear in court on the 21st of June.
