The six following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1. Nathan Sayers, age 18, of no fixed abode. It is alleged that at approx. 4:40 am on Saturday May 3rd the accused was observed going through vehicles on Great Northern Rd.
The six following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1. Nathan Sayers, age 18, of no fixed abode. It is alleged that at approx. 4:40 am on Saturday May 3rd the accused was observed going through vehicles on Great Northern Rd. Police attended and investigated the accused. The accused then obstructed police by falsely identifying himself. He was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of obstruct police and three counts of breach of probation. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good and to abide by a 10:00 pm curfew.

2. Ralph Carricato, age 37, of 9 Arbour Dr. It is alleged that on Friday May 2nd at approx. 1:50 pm the accused broke into a residence in the 100 block of Birch St. It is further alleged that when police arrived and arrested the accused he was in possession of cannabis resin, cannabis marihuana and cocaine. Mr. Carricato is charged with one count break and enter and three counts of possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of trafficking.

3. Candace Desjardins, age 20, of no fixed abode. It is alleged that on Friday May 2nd at approx. 1:50 pm the accused broke into a residence in the 100 block of Birch St. It is further alleged that when police arrived and arrested the accused she was in possession of cannabis resin, cannabis marihuana, methadone and cocaine. At the time of this offence the accused was on probation with conditions not to associate with Ralph Carricato. Ms Desjardins is charged with one count break and enter, one count of breach of probation, one count of possession of a controlled drug and three counts of possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of trafficking.

4. A 32-year-old male was arrested on Saturday evening and charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on Saturday evening the accused attended at the residence of the victim and performed a sexual act on the victim. At the time of this offence the accused was on probation.

5. A 22-year-old male is charged with one count of mischief and one count of assault. It is alleged that on Sunday May 4th the accused attended the address of his ex-girlfriend and while there assaulted her by punching her and striking her with a vacuum cleaner hose. It is further alleged that the accused damaged the victim’s residence by punching holes in her wall, throwing a beer bottle at a door and by damaging a phone. The victim did not require medical attention.

6. A 36-year-old male is charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that on Sunday May 4th at approx. 3:30 am the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend by grabbing by the throat and pushing her into a wall. The victim did not require medical attention.

Assault

On Sunday May 4th at approx.1:00 pm city police arrested Anna Cole, age 51, of 489 Cathcart St. It is alleged that at approx. 8:00 am the accused attended at the address of a female known to her and assaulted herby punching the victim in the mouth and by biting her hand. Anna Cole is charged with one count of assault. She will be appearing in court on Monday June 16th at 9:00 am. The victim attended the hospital and was treated for the injuries.

Neighbour Dispute

On Friday May 2nd at approx. 7:50 am city police were called to a downtown residence regarding a neighbour dispute. As a result of police investigations one male person was arrested for breach of the peace. During the arrest the accused assault a police officer by kicking him. The accused is also charged with causing a disturbance by yelling and swearing. Charged is Donald Symynyshyn, age 56, of 760 Wellington St. E. Apt # 4. He will be appearing in court on Monday June 2nd at 9:00 am.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is investigating three reports of break and enters over the weekend.

1. A residence in the 100 block of Woodward Ave was entered - electronics and some cash were stolen.

2. A garage in the 800 block of Second Line E was entered and a red 4 wheeler was stolen
(Make and model unknown)

3. The storage garage at Bellevue Park was entered Saturday night to Sunday morning. Thieves stole two 4 wheelers. One Yamaha 4 wheeler and an Arctic Cat 4 wheeler were taken.

The following reports of mischief were received by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service over the weekend:

1. A bus shelter in the 700 block of Pine St. had glass panels damaged.

2. A residence in the 100 block of Par Ave had its door damaged with a brick.

3. A residence in the 100 block of Hugill St was egged.

4. A residence I n the 500 block of Douglas was spray painted.

5. A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Turner Ave was spray painted.

6. A vehicle was damaged in the 100 block of Raymond St.

7. A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Old Garden River Rd. had its tires slashed.

City police also received three more reports of stolen bicycles.

Theft of bikes were reported in the 100 block of McMeeken St, the 100 block of Pardee Ave and the 100 block of Maple St.
