Bail Court Appearance Arrests/Charged Persons with Court Appearance Dates:
On the 28 May 2012 a male was arrested for a domestic incident where it is alleged he used facebook to attempt to communicate with a female party he was on court imposed conditions not to communicate with. He will be appearing in court on 20 June 2012 at 9:00 AM. Names of domestic arrests are not published in an attempt to protect the victim’s identity.
.On the 28 May 2012 Patrol officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver, Jason MacMillan age 39 of 817 People’s Rd was suspended from driving for a previous criminal conviction. He was charged with disqualified driving and had his vehicle impounded for 45 days as per the provisions of the Highway Traffic Act.
A 35 year old was arrested and charged today with domestic assault from an incident on February 18, 2012 at a local address. The accused was released on a promise to appear with an officer in charge undertaking to a court date of July 4.
Arrest:
On May 27, 2012 at approximately 2:39 pm officers executed an arrest warrant at 28 Wellington Street East. Officers attended the address on an unrelated matter and found the accused present.
Arrested for breach of probation was Tara McKinley, Age 32 of 275 Second Avenue. She will appear in court on July 9, 2012 at 9:00am.
Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:
Break in to a shed in the Summit Street area – lawnmower taken
Vehicle entered in the Wemyss Street area – gps, passports, baseball equipment and identification taken
Theft from vehicle in Laird Street area – Ipod, ownership and insurance taken.
Mischief to vehicle in Laird Street area – brick thrown causing damage to rear door
Theft of two new refrigerators from parking lot in Lake Street area.
Bear sightings in the 1100 block of Third Line East and in between Lake Street and Prince Charles Crescent.
Theft of a vehicle from the area of Adrian Drive. The theft occurred between 3:00am and 3:00pm on May 27.
