Gas Station Robbery At approx. 12:50 AM Saturday April 29th City Police were called to the Esso Gas Bar located at 442 Bruce St. regarding a Robbery. In the incident a lone male entered the store and demanded money from the female attendant.

At approx. 12:50 AM Saturday April 29th City Police were called to the Esso Gas Bar located at 442 Bruce St. regarding a Robbery. In the incident a lone male entered the store and demanded money from the female attendant. The suspect received a small amount of cash and fled the store. The suspect is described as: a 40-50 year old male, approx. 6’1” tall, heavy build and a shaved head. The suspect was wearing black track pants and a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Crimestoppers or the City Police.

Four People To Appear In Bail Court This Morning

1. James Francis Bolan, age 41, 173 Biggings Ave.
It is alleged that on Saturday April 22 the accused James Bolan broke into a residence in the 100 block of Bloor St.W. and once inside threatened the tenant with a baseball bat. It is further alleged that the accused then stole a quantity of money, electronic equipment and a bicycle. At the time of these offences the accused was wearing a balaclava. Mr. Bolan is charged with Break and Enter, Threatening and Wearing a Disguise while committing an offence.

2. On Saturday April 29th City Police arrested two males and charged them with:

Assault, Threatening, Mischief and Unlawful Confinement. The charges stem from incidents that occurred between April 15th and 29th. It is alleged that the two accused persons damaged the residence of a female, known to them; they then forcibly confined this female. It is further alleged that one of the accused assaulted the female victim. Both accused were further charged with threatening a second female person.

3. A 45-year-old male is charged with Breaching his Probation and Breaching an Undertaking. It is alleged that the accused communicated with a female victim while he was prohibited from doing so.

4. On Saturday afternoon City Police arrested a 42 year old male and charged him with Assault and four counts of Breach of Probation. It is alleged that the accused was involved in an argument with his girlfriend, became upset and commenced assaulting her. The victim did not require medical attention.

Break & Enter At Y.I.P.S.

At appox. 2:00 AM Sunday morning City Police were dispatched to the YIP Pet Food Store at 628 Second Line W. in regards to a Break and Enter. Culprits forced open the rear door of the business and stole a small quantity of cash. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers or the City Police.

Two Cases Of Mischeif & Once Case of Theft From Vehicle

There were two reports of Mischief over the weekend. A vehicle and mailbox were damaged in the 200 block of Chambers Ave. A vehicle was also damaged in the 200 block of Northern Ave.

One theft from a vehicle was also reported- in the 200 block of Breton Rd. Thieves stole a cell phone from this vehicle.

Impaired Driver On International Bridge

At approx. 2:30 AM this morning City Police were called to attend at the International Bridge regarding an Impaired Driver. It is alleged that 71-year-old Giuseppe Mancuso, while operating his vehicle northbound on The International Bridge struck a southbound transport truck. When the officers arrived to investigate the collision they discovered that Mr. Mancuso was impaired. Giuseppe Mancuso, age 71 of 293 North St. is charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mgs. He will be appearing in court on Monday June 5th at 9:00 AM.
