The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) 15-year old youth was arrested on the 4th of March and charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000.
The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) 15-year old youth was arrested on the 4th of March and charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that the male youth assaulted another male known to him while at a west end address. It is alleged that the youth also damaged a side window of a door by slamming the door.

2) A 47-year old male was arrested on the 3rd of March and charged with one count of assault and two count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on that date the accused attended at his ex-wife’s centrally located address and pushed her as well as threatening her and her boyfriend.

3) A 35-year old male was arrested on the 2nd of March and charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 1st of March the accused assaulted his girlfriend by grabbing her by the throat. It is alleged that the accused also damaged the second floor of the home by pouring an excessive amount of water on the floor resulting in the carpet being damaged.

4) A 13-year old youth was arrested on the 2nd of March and charged with one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of weapon dangerous to the public and one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that the accused threatened an adult female known to him at his residence. Officers also located a homemade weapon consisting of a razor blade attached to a pencil.

Snow Machine Accident

Yesterday morning officers from Patrol Services and Traffic Services attended on a snow machine trail east of the 1400 block of Third Line East. A snow machine operated by a 29-year old male was traveling northbound on a groomed trail. Two other snow machines ahead of this machined had stopped on the groomed trail. Just as one of the stopped snow machines operated by a 30-year old male started to pull off of the side of the trail the snow machine operated by the 29-year old male came along, started to slow down and ended up colliding with the snow machine with the 30-year old operator. The snow machine operated by the 29-year old male veered off and then stuck another snow machine operated by a 32-year old male. The snow machine operated by the 29-year old male was severely damaged, the snow machine operated by the 32-year old male was moderately damaged and the third snow machine was lightly damaged. The 29-year old driver and the 32-year old driver were taken by ambulance to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment of injuries. The investigation is still ongoing.

Impaired Driving

60-year old Brien Dunne of 399 Whitney Avenue was arrested and charged on the 3rd of March with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that the accused was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on North Street just before 10 pm. He will appear in court on April 16th.

There were two break and enters reported over the weekend:

1) A home on Princeton Drive was entered between 2:30 pm and 7 pm on the 3rd of March. Items taken include a gold watch and a small amount of money.

2) Sometime between midnight on the 1st of March and 1 pm on the 3rd of March a home was entered on Breton Road. A laptop computer and a television were taken.
