Five Persons To Appear in Bail Court: A 58 year old male and a 32-year-old female were arrested and charged in relation to domestic related incidents over the weekend.

A 58 year old male and a 32-year-old female were arrested and charged in relation to domestic related incidents over the weekend.

38-year-old Leon Legault who currently resides at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre (800 Great Northern Road) was charged with mischief for allegedly damaging a fire sprinkler system in his cell.

20-year-old William James Fair of 293 Wellington Street West was arrested after turning himself in regarding an outstanding warrant for allegedly failing to attend court.

33-year-old Bernie Francis Nadon of 289 Kingsford Road was arrested and charged on the 23rd of March 2012 at 1:10 p.m. in regards to a drug related incident.  Subsequent to a search warrant at her residence, it is alleged that the accused had in her possession a variety of restricted drugs/pills for the purpose of trafficking as well as a quantity of pills containing oxycodone and a small quantity of cannabis. 

It is alleged that the pills had been stolen earlier from a break and enter to a west end pharmacy.  The over twenty eight hundred pills are estimated to have a street value of approximately $7572.00.  The accused was charged with six counts of Possession of a Restricted Drug for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Breach of Probation.

Arrests:

32-year-old Peter Alan Miller was arrested and charged for allegedly assaulting a 48-year-old male known to him and in doing so also breached  a condition of his probation (to keep the peace and be of good behavior).  He was released with a court date of the 23rd of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

58-year-old Catherine Marie Brims of 859 Trunk Road (Travelers Motel) was arrested for breach of the Peace for yelling at other patrons at the motel.  Following the arrest, she was charged with breach of Probation for allegedly having wooden matches in her possession while prohibited from possessing any ignition device.  She was released with a court date of the 16th of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

26-year-old Graham Roy Tarrant of 326 Albert Street West was arrested and charged for allegedly stealing cell phone accessories from the Bell Store at 270 Bruce Street (total value approximately $280.00).  He is to attend court on the 25th of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

19-year-old Randy Robert Ingram of 358 Bloor Street West was arrested and charged for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for allegedly having a stolen motorized scooter at his residence.  He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and be of good behavior.  He was released with a court date of the 23rd of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

19-year-old Ean Cooke of 247 Willow Avenue was arrested and charged for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old female known to him while at the Station Mall (293 Bay Street).  He is to appear in court on the 13th of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

46-year-old Frank Robert Marrello of 1695 Third Line West was arrested and charged with five counts of theft for allegedly stealing oil, antifreeze, and grease from Wardlaw Fuels (270 Wellington Street West).  The thefts are alleged to have occurred on five separate instances between February 17th and the 7th of March 2012.  He is to appear in court on the 23rd of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

61-year-old Italo Lepore of 117 Churchill Avenue was arrested and charged after allegedly failing a roadside screening device and therefore found to be operating his motor vehicle while over the legal limit of alcohol (over 80 mgs).  He was released with a court date of the 23rd of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

63-year-old Gerald Lionel Paquin of 276 Iron Side Drive was arrested and charged after allegedly failing a roadside screening device and therefore found to be operating his motor vehicle while over the legal limit of alcohol (over 80 mgs).  He was released with a court date of the 23rd of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Numerous Break and Enters To Garages and Sheds Reported in East End:

  • Two garages and a shed on Broad Street.  Bikes were stolen.
  • A garage and a shed on Park Street.  Nothing reported stolen
  • Two garages and a shed in the 100 block of Eastern Avenue.  A snowboard and snowboard boots were stolen.
  • A garage on Centre Street.  A 2005 black and red Honda CRF 250R dirt bike was stolen.
  • A garage and two sheds on Carol Court.  Nothing reported stolen.
  • A garage on Market Street.  A satellite radio was stolen.
  • Three Sheds in the 500 block of Boundary Road.  A bike was reported stolen.

Other Break and Enters:

  • A business on Spring Street.  Cash was stolen.
  • A residence in the 400 block of Wallace Terrace.  Nothing reported taken.
  • A residence in the 500 block of Third Avenue.  Cash was stolen.
  • A residence in the 100 block of Estelle Street.  Nothing reported taken.
  • An attempt break and enter to a residence in the 100 block of James Street.

Thefts and Property Crimes:

  • A license plate was stolen from a vehicle on Salisbury Avenue
  • A mountain bike was stolen in the 400 block of Queen Street East
  • A bike was stolen on Alden Road.
  • Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Hampton Road
  • Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Stanley Street
  • Gas cans were stolen on Center Street
  • A window was smashed to a business in the 400 block of Albert Street West
  • A window was smashed to a business in the 200 block of Bay Street
  • A window was broken to an elementary school in the west end.
  • A vehicle was damaged on Willoughby, the 600 block of Douglas Street, and on James Street.
