Three for Bail Court Today

1) A 23 year old female will appear in bail court today. It is alleged that she assaulted 2 family members. She has been charged with one count of assault and one count of aggravated assault. This occurred on the 01 March 2009.

2) A 73 year old male will appear in bail court this morning charged with assault. It is alleged that he struck his wife in the face causing a cut lip. He has been charged with assault.

3) A 34 year old male will appear in bail court today charged with carry a concealed weapon and breaching his probation order. Officer’s received a complaint of a male walking downtown and carrying knives. The male was checked on Albert St. and was found to have a steak knife in each glove he was wearing. Charles Kermit Fiddler of 212 Albert St. East was arrested.

Crimical Harassment

A 22 year old male will appear in court on the 01 April 2009 at 09:00. He will face one count of criminal harassment. It is alleged that he went to the work place of the female victim on numerous occasions as well as repeated phone calls and attending at the victim’s residence uninvited.

Assault

Brian Alfred Currie age 47 of 72 Cunningham Road will appear in court on the 30 March 2009 charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that Currie assaulted the victim who engaged in a consensual fight with another male. This is alleged to have occurred on the 26 January 2009.

Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle

Norman Wesley McGregor age 26, of 80 Sackville Road will appear in court on the 30 March 2009 09:00 charged with one count of Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged that on 01 March 2009 shortly after 03:00 am the accused was operating Red Infiniti at a high rate of speed on Wallace Terrace and also on Goulais Ave. The vehicle went out of control at the intersection of Asquith and Pittsburg colliding with the snow bank.

Impaired Driving

William James Middleton age 41, of 88 Harris St. will appear in court on the 30 March 2009 at 09:00 charged with impaired driving and consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 27th February 2009 at approx. 11:26 pm he had been operating his motor vehicle north bound on People’s Rd. and was attempting a right turn onto Fourth Line east went his vehicle left the road colliding with a snow bank and a stop sign. A passerby notified police who attended and took Mr. Middleton into custody.

Property Crimes

City Police are currently investigating a break and enter to a home on Nokomis Beach Road. Entry was gained to the home and articles including a couch, DVD player’s, telephone and a stereo are reported taken.

A second break and enter was reported on Channel View Lane. Entry was gained but it has not been determined if anything was taken.

Police responded to an office in the 1000 block of Queen St. east on Friday. It is reported that a purse and a wallet were taken from office unattended offices.
