Routine Traffic Stop Locates Stolen Vehicle A routine traffic stop of a motor vehicle resulted in the arrest of a Nova Scotia man on Friday. It is alleged that on Friday June 23rd the accused, 43-year-old Shane William Storm of 1075 Topsoil Rd.
Routine Traffic Stop Locates Stolen Vehicle

A routine traffic stop of a motor vehicle resulted in the arrest of a Nova Scotia man on Friday. It is alleged that on Friday June 23rd the accused, 43-year-old Shane William Storm of 1075 Topsoil Rd., Torro Nova Scotia was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 1989 Ford pick up truck, was reported stolen in Alberta. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM on a charge of Possession of Stolen Property.

Domestic Complaint

On Friday June 23rd City Police were called to a west end residence in regards to a domestic complaint. Upon arrival of the officers they received information alleging that the accused did Assault and Forcibly Confine the victim at her residence. The accused was also on Probation at the time of this offence.

The 35-year-old male will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. The victim and the accused are common-law partners. Victim did not require medical assistance.

35 Yr Old Arrested As Result Of Domestic Dispute

On Saturday June 24th a 35-year-old male was arrested as a result of a domestic dispute. It is alleged that the accused person attended at the residence of his ex-girlfriend and while there entered her residence and assaulted her. Victim suffered minor injuries to her wrists but did no require any medical attention.
On Sunday June 25th at approx. 6:00 AM the accused turned himself in at the City Police station and has been charged with Unlawfully Being in a Dwelling and Assault. He will be in Bail Court today at
10:00 AM.

Sexual Assault Charge

On Saturday June 24th City Police arrested a 24-year-old male and charged him with two counts of Sexual Assault, Obstruct Police and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm. It is alleged that the accused did on June 23rd Sexually Assault a female person, known to him. It is further alleged that the accused did between May 19th and June 12th Sexually Assault the same female victim. On June 24th while executing a search warrant at the residence of the accused, he obstructed police. Police also located a Crossman hand pellet gun, in the home, that was not safely stored. The accused will be in Bail Court today at
10:00 AM.

Assault

On Saturday June 24th at approx. 4:40 PM City Police arrested a 47-year-old male on charges of Assault- two counts, Breach of Probation –two counts, Forcible Confinement and Threatening Death. It is alleged that the accused did on June 23rd and 24th Assault his common-law partner and further confined her to the residence. During one of the assaults the accused threatened to kill the victim. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court at 10:00 AM. Victim did not suffer any injuries in the assault.

Impaired Drivers

On Saturday June 24th at approx. 4:45 AM City Police received a complaint about a vehicle driving in an erratic manner on Bay St. It is alleged that when the police stopped the vehicle officers noticed that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The accused Heidi Kay Debassige, age 30, of 165 Albert St.E. was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80mgs. She will be appearing in court on Monday July 31st at 9:00 AM.

At approx. 2:00 AM on Saturday June 24th City Police were called to attend on Great Northern Rd in regards to a possible impaired driver. Officers located the suspect vehicle and while speaking to the driver determined that she was impaired by alcohol. The accused, 20-year-old Lindsay Dawson, of 131 St. George’s Ave.W. was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80mgs. She will be appearing in court on Monday July 31st at 9:00 AM.

Death Threat

On June 24th at approx. 2:40 AM City Police arrested a 24 year old male and charged him with Assault, Threatening and Break and Enter. It is alleged that on June 24th the accused did assault and threaten to kill his wife. It is further alleged that the accused did break into an apartment, on Northern Ave and threaten to assault the male resident. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Man Threatens Wife With "Exacto" Knife

Last evening City Police attended a centrally located residence in regards to a domestic dispute. As a result of investigations it is alleged that the 41-year-old male resident assaulted and threatened to kill the female victim. The male person was subsequently arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon and Threatening. The accused had threatened to use an “exacto” knife on the victim. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

23 Yr Old Charge With Assault

A 23-year-old male will be appearing in Bail Court today as a result of a domestic situation. It is alleged that at approx. 6:00 AM Sunday June 25 the accused assaulted his common-law partner by throwing her to the ground and injuring her back. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries. The male is charged with Assault.

Break & Enter At London Life

City Police are investigating the report of a break and enter that occurred at the London Life office at 477 Queen St. E. The break in was reported yesterday morning and at this time it is not known if anything was taken.

Vehicle Vandalism

City Police are investigating several reports of vehicles being damage. Reports of mischief were taken at the following locations:

1. The 200 block of Queen St.E.
2. The 200 block of Wilson St. – 3 vehicles.
3. The 300 block of Lake St. – 2 vehicles.

Mischief In The East End

The City Police are also investigating two reports of houses being egged. Homes in the 100 block of Gibbs St. and the 200 block of McGregor Ave. were both egged.
