Male Shoplifter Arrested 40 yer-old Hisham Suliman of #1710-100 Ferguson Road in Hamilton Ontario was arrested on the 18th of June at 8:03 pm at Zellers in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.
Male Shoplifter Arrested

40 yer-old Hisham Suliman of #1710-100 Ferguson Road in Hamilton Ontario was arrested on the 18th of June at 8:03 pm at Zellers in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of obstruct peace officer, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused attended at the store around 7:30 pm that evening and stole several items. At the time of his apprehension the accused falsely identified himself and was on a bail release document with conditions that he keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 37 year-old female was arrested on the 18th of June at 12:25 pm at a downtown residence and charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused attended at her ex-common-law partner’s residence on the 18th of June and assaulted her. The accused also called the victim’s residence several time earlier in the day. At the time of the incidents, the accused was on recognizance order conditions not to attend at the victim’s home or to communicate with her. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Three Persons Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

18 year-old Codie Roach of #206-115 Cambridge Place was arrested at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service station after turning himself in on an outstanding break and enter warrant. He was charged with one count of break and enter into a dwelling house and is to attend in bail court his morning.

27 year-old Preston McLeod of no fixed address was arrested on the 18th of June at 4:17 pm by members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team. He was charged with one count of breach of a release document for failing to notify his change in address. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

A 16 year-old male was arrested at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service station after turning himself in on outstanding warrants. He has been charged with one count of breach of probation and two count so of breach of a release document.

Impaired Driver Arrested

33 year-old Kevin Mackay of 468 Fourth Line East was arrested on the 20th of June at 7:30 pm on Carmen’s Way and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 20th of June around 7:17 pm officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a call regarding a possible impaired driver in the Albert Street West area. Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Carmen’s Way and at the time the driver, the accused, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 26th of July

Female Arrested for Assault

20 year-old Shalane Hill of 171 Manitou Drive was arrestecd on the 20th of June at 1:30 pm at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service station and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for an incident back on the 25th of April when she assaulted two persons known to her at the rear of a local convenience store. Both victims received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 26th of July.

Male Youth Arrested for Assaulting Fellow Student

A 13 year-old male youth was arrested at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service station after turning himself in and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a fellow student at a local elementary school on the 16th of June. He is to attend in court on the 20thof July.

Break and Enters

• A residence on St. George’s Avenue East was entered overnight on the 20th of June. Computer equipment and a bicycle were reported stolen.
• A business garage on Queen Street East was entered. Several cases of beer and liquor were reported stolen.
• A shed on Ellis Road was entered on the 18th of June. A set of golf clubs and a bike were reported stolen.

Thefts

A 2000 Peterbilt Semi-Tractor Transport, smokey-grey in colour, and two B-Train trailers (2001 Temi FM) flatbed blue in colour, loaded with 36 lifts of plywood (28 foot-lengths) were stolen from two separate business properties in the 900 block of Great Northern Road.

• Vehicles were entered on Park Place, Country Club Place, Alworth Place, Foster Drive, Northern Avenue, Creekside Lane and Salisbury Avenue. Cash, vehicle papers, wallets, an iPod, identification, clothing, keys and several GPS units were reported stolen.
• Solar lights were stolen from a residence yard on Van Dael Street.
• A tombstone plaque was stolen from the People’s Road cemetery property.
